Nearly 60% of all terrain is dedicated to beginner and intermediate skiers and you can access at least one intermediate trail off of every lift. The Telluride Ski & Snowboard School offers numerous options for every member of the family, ranging from nursery services to kids group lessons to private lessons the whole family can enjoy. Book off-hill adventures through the Telluride Adventure Center to enjoy a family snowshoe or fat biking trip. For meals, Telluride has all sorts of on-mountain dining experiences that kids and adults will be talking about. Wander around the historic town of Telluride for shopping and to take part in the historic magic of this mining town, or take the free Gondola to and from Mountain Village for fantastic views. Telluride offers any family the experience of a lifetime.

Is there on-site childcare and if so, what is the starting cost?
Yes. There are a variety of options for on-site childcare. Toddlers (ages 1 – 4) can opt in for half or full day childcare. Daily activities include time enjoying the outdoors as long as weather permits, including gondola rides, short walks to watch skiers and ice skaters, and a chance to get fresh air and sunshine around the Mountain Village Core. Healthy snacks are served in the morning and afternoon to toddlers, and lunch is served around 12 PM daily. For infants and toddlers, half day is $110 and a full day is $150.

Ski/Ride school starts at $200 for a lesson, lift ticket and lunch for ages 3 to 14.

What area (off-mountain) activities would appeal to families for their winter vacation?
There are a variety of off-mountain activities, including adventures such as snowshoeing, fat biking and more. You can book these activities through the Telluride Adventure Center. Eco Adventures also provides day camps for kids ages 5-12. Our programs are designed to connect kids with their environment and develop a deeper appreciation for the world around them.
