Purgatory Resort in southwestern Colorado not only features incredible skiing and snowboarding and many other fun activities for all ages. Enjoy tubing, dog sledding, horse-drawn sleigh rides, ice climbing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, Nordic skiing, and more. The Bear’s Den is the resort’s licensed daycare facility for children ages 2 months to 4 years old with age-appropriate activities, and also offers a fun activities for kids ages 2 months to 10 years old when mom and dad want a date night (on select evenings throughout the season). Purgatory’s Snowsports School offers ski and snowboard lessons for kids ages 3 years and older. Lodging amenities include heated swimming pools, and game rooms. Some units feature multiple bedrooms, living rooms and full kitchens. With nine restaurants with many featuring kids’ menus, there’s something for everyone.

Located slopeside in the base Village area, The Den is a licensed facility providing a safe, interactive and engaging environment for children ages 2 months to 4 years old with age appropriate activities. Lunch and snacks are provided for children who are eating table food. On select nights throughout the season, The Den offers a “Kids Night Out” for children ages 2 months to 10 years old with fun activities and a kid-friendly dinner so parents can enjoy “date night.”
What is the the starting cost of ski/ride school? Ages?
Purgatory’s Snowsports School offers a playful learning experience for kids ages 4 to 12. Child Specialist Instructors are certified and trained to teach kids and help improve a child’s confidence and skills while exploring kid-friendly areas. Purgatory’s Burton Riglet Park is a playground-like setting where kids ages 3-7 learn to snowboard with instructors. Skiing, snowboarding, Telemark skiing, and snowbiking lessons are offered for teens ages 13 and older. Cost: TBD.
