Purgatory Resort in southwestern Colorado not only features incredible skiing and snowboarding and many other fun activities for all ages. Enjoy tubing, dog sledding, horse-drawn sleigh rides, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, Nordic skiing, and more. The Bear’s Den is the resort’s licensed daycare facility for children ages 8 weeks to 5 years old with age-appropriate activities, and also offers a fun activities for kids 8 weeks to 10 years old when mom and dad want a date night (on select evenings throughout the season). Purgatory’s Snowsports School offers ski and snowboard lessons for kids ages 4 years and older. Lodging amenities include an outdoor heated pool with slide and hot tub, fitness center, spa, game rooms and more. Many units feature multiple bedrooms, living rooms and full kitchens. With a variety of restaurants in the base area, with many featuring kids’ menus, there’s something for everyone.

Located slopeside in the base Village area, The Den is a licensed facility providing a safe, interactive and engaging environment for children 8 weeks to 5 years old with age-appropriate activities. Lunch and snacks are provided for children who are eating table food. On select nights throughout the season, The Den offers a “Kids Night Out” for children 8 weeks to 10 years old with fun activities and a kid-friendly dinner so parents can enjoy “date night.” See website for any COVID restrictions and cancelations.

Purgatory’s Snowsports School offers a playful learning experience for kids ages 4 to 12. Child specialist instructors are certified and trained to teach kids and help improve a child’s confidence and skills while exploring kid-friendly areas.
