You ladies are right. We've made Silverthorne one of our family destinations. So much to do, such great people. And the food....must get back for the food...
I, too, can't wait to read the payback story. Is it just me, or do the orange ones look like giant pumpkins? Really, Amber, you shoulda known better. These things are so fun!
Jen, we did eat at 8 Mile Grille before the trip. You're right -- it really hit the spot. Stephanie, I hope you and your daughter enjoy the Cog when you next take it. I bet she's wowed.
My parents love staying at Glen Eyrie (it's beautiful). I'm little intimidated by the Manitou Incline, but it's on my bucket list. And I'd like to try that new zipline -- if it's not too steep!
Hi, Amanda. You're right that there can be added complexities when parental rights have been terminated in this way. Of course, safety has to come first, meaning that contact may or may not be wise at a certain point in time. But openness is always available to us, for it's an inside job. I responded to a very similar question here. I hope you find it helpful: http://lavenderluz.com/2015/09/open-foster-adoption.html Best wishes to you and your family!
