All Ages Family Show! Rubber-bodied and dynamically engaging, comedian Bryan Kellen has become an energetic, comedic powerhouse. Kellen’s been called “America’s Best Up-and-Coming Comedian” by the National Comedy Hall of Fame and Entertainment Business Journal named him one of the “Top 100 Comedians in the Country.” He has become the regular theater tour opener for television star and notable comedian George Lopez.

Enjoy an indoor, hour-long, science and nature-focused kids’ concert at Boulder’s hippest hub for food, community and music. Expect live, original, nature-inspired music for kids, educational/hilarious skits, quick costume changes and tons of audience participation. Show appropriate for kids ages 3-8.

There will be hot cocoa and coffee from Carabiner, pints, mules, sangria and a mystery am cocktail all available for purchase. Stick around after the show for lunch at any of the 3 food trucks onsite! Food can be brought inside 🙂

Doors at 9:45am, kids’ show from 10-11am. $10/human, under 2 free! (all ticketing fees and taxes included)

No need to print your pre-sale ticket purchase, just give your name at the door.

This is a monthly event for kids and families – Dec. 10th, Jan. 7th, Feb. 11th, March 11th.

Family Discovery Series: HawkQuest – Birds of Prey @ PACE Center
Feb 17 @ 10:00 am – 11:00 am

Is it a bird? A plane? It’s definitely a bird! This fun and educational program for all ages includes a Bald or a Golden eagle, an owl, a falcon, and features a free-flying hawk. Guests will learn about the importance of different raptor species, their specially-adapted tools, and their role in our ecosystems.

How I Became A Pirate @ PACE Center

AARRRGH! Sail off on a swashbuckling musical excursion as young Jeremy Jacobs joins Captain Braid Beard’s band of comical pirates and searches for the perfect spot to bury their treasure. Jeremy finds fun and adventure on the high seas, but he soon learns that home and family are treasures you can’t find on any map!

Denver’s Children’s Festival of Stories @ McNichols Building
Mar 17 @ 9:00 am – 4:00 pm

This premiere event is a collaborative creation between Second Star to the Right children’s bookstore and Denver Arts & Venues cultural program. This day-long FREE public event features 30 national local children’s books authors and illustrators of board books, picture books, chapter books and middle grade novels. Featured presenters will offer storytimes, readings, illustration demonstrations, book signings and book-themed crafts. Unique creation stations and children’s performers will engage the whole family in reading fun! Additional events for educators, aspiring children’s book creators and librarians are also part of this event.

The inaugural Denver’s Children’s Festival of Stories will be held in Denver’s original public library now known as the McNichols Civic Center building in Civic Center Park on Saturday, March 17, 2018 from 9:00am-4:00pm. Admission is FREE.​

Authors & illustrators will share stories, meet young readers and sign books!

Book-themed crafts accompany storytimes

A World of Workshops that will spark the imagination of creators of all ages

Tween Connect offers middle school readers opportunities to hang with their favorite authors

Performers will bring stories to life on stage through theatrics and music

Special guest star readings from Denver’s well-known community members

​Children’s Festival of Stories will also include an Evening of Story for sponsored educators and librarians to meet featured presenters. A day of panels and workshops for educators, writers & illustrators of children’s books to learn from our invited presenters will also be offered through this event.
