So far we have had some great turnouts, but we want to keep on growing! Hang out with Gateway Classic Cars on the last Saturday of every month for Cars & Coffee! Enjoy delicious donuts, coffee, & all or our newest arrivals! No Admission fee and kid friendly. All makes and models are welcome to cruise in and if you dont have a cruiser we still want you and your family to come.

Drop in and play, sing, read, write and talk at activity stations throughout the library. Families with young children (birth to age 7) enjoy interactive early literacy activities and take home crafts and great prizes as well as new ideas for family fun. Each station included special activities for babies.
Early Literacy: What children know about reading and writing before they actually read or write.
This premiere event is a collaborative creation between Second Star to the Right children’s bookstore and Denver Arts & Venues cultural program. This day-long FREE public event features 30 national local children’s books authors and illustrators of board books, picture books, chapter books and middle grade novels. Featured presenters will offer storytimes, readings, illustration demonstrations, book signings and book-themed crafts. Unique creation stations and children’s performers will engage the whole family in reading fun! Additional events for educators, aspiring children’s book creators and librarians are also part of this event.
The inaugural Denver’s Children’s Festival of Stories will be held in Denver’s original public library now known as the McNichols Civic Center building in Civic Center Park on Saturday, March 17, 2018 from 9:00am-4:00pm. Admission is FREE.

Children’s Festival of Stories will also include an Evening of Story for sponsored educators and librarians to meet featured presenters. A day of panels and workshops for educators, writers & illustrators of children’s books to learn from our invited presenters will also be offered through this event.
Free day at DMNS! A fee still applies to IMAX films, Planetarium shows, and temporary exhibitions. Reservations and amenities (lunchroom, coat and lunch storage, bus drop off, etc.) for school groups are not available on SCFD Community Free Days.
