DMFHC recently relocated our office to Denver’s historic Five Points neighborhood and we are excited to share our new community with you! Meet us at the Blair-Caldwell African American Research Library at 3:00pm located at 2401 Welton St, Denver, CO 80205 to begin a walking tour of Five Points’ historic African American landmarks and culminate at our new office, at 3280 Downing St, Suite B. Denver CO 80205 at 4:00pm for an open house.
If you can’t make the walking tour, we would still love to see you at our new office, 3280 Downing St, Suite B, Denver CO 80205 for our open house from 4:00pm-6:00pm where we will have light snacks, refreshments, information about our services, and opportunities to win a prize!
Information about the tour:
Five Points holds a rich African American history in the Denver metro area with important historic landmarks scattered throughout the neighborhood. Join DMFHC staff as we participate in an exciting walking tour of these landmarks, learning about the role they played in the history of the area. We will have staff available to meet at the Blair-Caldwell Library and hand out the information needed for the self guided tour until 4:30pm. We will be providing supplemental information that ties this history of the area to fair housing topics.
The tour will end at DMFHC’s office at 3280 Downing St. Suite B for the Open House from 4:00pm-6:00pm.
For more information about the tour and to RSVP, please email Tasha at [email protected].
