Product Review: Reusable Produce Bags
I have a confession to make. It took me a while to get used to using reusable grocery bags. Just like anything, it was a habit I had to get into. I had to force myself to put them in my trunk, remember them, and go back to the car to get them if I forgot. The discount (a few cents per bag) I got at the check-out stand helped. When I’d unloaded them in my kitchen, I couldn’t just stuff them in the plastic bag drawer or the recycle bin; I had to remember to put them back down in my car.
It took a while, but if finally became second nature to me. I stuck with it, and it became a habit.
And, I’m so glad I did! For me, I’m amazed at how many less trips up from the car I have to take when I use them. It’s not that we’re buying less groceries…it’s that they fit so many more things and are just better and transporting groceries from Point A to Point B.
Then I decided to take it one step farther. What about those flimsy little plastic bags you need for your fruits and veggies? You need something light-weight (you don’t want to be charged for the bag when you’re paying by weight) that can keep your fruits and veggies contained. The plastic bags are right there, and they are recyclable, so I didn’t give it too much thought.
Until I saw these: 3B Bags – Reusable Produce Bags. The company is right here in Colorado! How cool is that?!
