Colorado Rockies Opening Day Family Fun 2024

Grand Opening: New Esports lounge at this Denver recreation center

Play your favorite video games and explore the world of esports at Sheridan Recreation Center! Esports camps and drop-in play are coming to a newly renovated esports lounge, complete with two 55” TVs, three gaming monitors and four Nintendo Switch consoles. How does your garden grow? Well, from now until early June, it starts at any Araphoe Public Libraries  Spring is just around the corner, and so is planting season! Starting March 4, visit any Arapahoe Libraries location to pick up free seeds and gardening resources, while supplies last. Choose from a variety of seeds – basil, squash, sunflowers and more – all of which can be grown in Colorado. If you’re looking for fun, free activities in Denver for the whole family, look no further than 2nd Saturdays at CSU Spur. Colorado’s newest National Park looks a bit different than you’d expect

Grab the family for an educational road trip to the country’s newest national park: Amache National Historic Site. Almost two years after President Joe Biden signed the bill that would turn the former World War II Japanese internment camp into a historic site, the National Park Service on Thursday announced its official inclusion in the system. This comes after the town of Granada acquired and donated the land needed to set up the site. Amache, also known as the Granada Relocation Center, was one of 10 incarceration sites established by the War Relocation Authority during World War II to detain Japanese Americans forcibly removed from the West Coast of the United States under the terms of Executive Order 9066.
