Catawampus: Wild and wonky world coming to Denver’s Children Museum!

Catawampus: Wild and wonky world coming to Denver’s Children Museum!

Mark your calendars for May 13—because things are about to get delightfully topsy-turvy!

Tucked within the heart of Children’s Museum of Denver at Marsico Campus lies a portal to the unexpected. With a lantern in hand and a spark of courage, step across the threshold into a place where the rules of reality bend, twist, and dance to their own tune…

Welcome to Catawampus!

What is Catawampus, you ask? It’s a little bit askew, a touch awry, and bursting at the seams with wonderfully wild creatures. It’s an immersive world where nothing is quite what it seems—and that’s exactly the point.

This fantastical exhibit is the newest adventure in Gallery Uno, following the beloved debut of SNUG. Each installation in this magical space draws inspiration from a single, curious word. For Catawampus, we’ve journeyed back to the 1830s, when the term described both crooked things and mythical beasts—and we’ve brought both to life in the most joyful way imaginable.

Meet the mischievous Catawampus Creatures, explore strange and surprising landscapes, and let your imagination run wild.

Opening Tuesday, May 13!
Admission is included with your Museum ticket—and of course, Museum members always get in free.

Are you ready to get a little Catawampus?
