How It Works
-
- The new curriculum includes K–12 lesson plans that cover key STEM principles related to optics, physics, engineering and even art, allowing educators to select resources that fit their students’ grade level and classroom needs.
- In practice, educators can schedule a field trip with the Museum of Illusions Denver, where they will receive a customized curriculum designed specifically for their visit.
- Upon arrival, an illusion expert will guide students through the museum, highlighting interactive exhibits that demonstrate key STEM concepts in action.
- Each activity is paired with a specific lesson plan that outlines the relevant STEM principles, ensuring that students engage with the material in a hands-on and educational way. This approach allows students to directly apply classroom knowledge to everyday experiences, fostering a deeper understanding of the subjects while having fun exploring the illusions.
The museum is offering complimentary admission exclusively for teachers and educators with a valid school ID. Each teacher is entitled to one free ticket per visit/day. This offer is valid for walk-in visitors only, and the teacher must present their valid school ID upon entry. Please note that while admission is free for educators, the cost of field trips or other related expenses is not covered.
“Together with the Museum of Illusions, we are crafting an educational journey that starts with curiosity and ends with profound insights,” Andrew B. Raupp, Founder of STEM.org, said. “Our collaborative efforts will result in exclusive educational content that complements the illusions and exhibits, making every visit not only entertaining but also enriching.”
