Denver Zoo. Just in time for winter break and forecasted mild temperatures, Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance is offering Kids Free December presented by Primrose Schools. All children ages 15 and younger receive free daytime admission through Dec. 31 to experience more than 2,500 animals. Details here.
Echter’s Christmas Trees. Don’t have a tree because you can’t afford one this year? Check out Echter’s in Arvada (5150 Garrison St). Starting Sunday, December 22 they will give away trees from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (while supplies last – we recommend you get there early). They will also give away ornaments and tree stands.
