I usually try to keep my Christmas to after Thanksgiving. But this year, there are so many fun things you can participate in before then that maybe, just maybe, I will get into the holiday before Thanksgiving. Last night, we went to see Red One (in theaters this weekend). It is a fun holiday action movie that will be fun for the whole family. I believe this may be one that we see every year for years to come.
Outlets of Castle Rock. One of the best parties in town is the magical tree lighting at the Outlets of Castle Rock. November 16 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. the Outlets will transform to a magical Christmas. Santa will arrive, the Grand Illumination of their 55 foot tree adorned with 8,000 lights and 5,000 ornaments. Plus you can enjoy the live music of All-American Boys Chorus, Nayah Damasen and Trevor Martin. The night will end with fireworks. But while you are there, make sure to grab some of the great shopping deals!
Cherry Creek North. Help KOSI 101 turn on their Christmas Music with an event at the Moxy Hotel on November 14 at the Fillmore Plaza from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Then make sure to plan to come back for the Million Light Plug-in on November 21 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. as they light the entire neighborhood (and broadcast live at 6 p.m. on CBS). On November 21, the Holiday Market will open as will the Mistletoe Lounge and the Giving Machines will be available.
Starbucks Red Cup. The holidays have officially begun when the red cup arrives to local Starbucks along with their holiday menu. The annual red-cup day is November 14. On that day, when you order any handcrafted holiday drink you will get a free reusable red cup (while supplies last).
IKEA Restaurant Deal. The giant blue building just off I-25 in Lone Tree might be thought of for their furniture and Swedish décor. But they also have a restaurant inside that is totally reasonably priced and yummy! Through November 30 they will be offering deals in their restaurant to IKEA Family Members (membership is free). Some of the deals we have seen are: 50% off adult entrees, two free kids meals with an adult meal, senior discounts, and $3 veggie & plant ball plates.
Ibotta Thanksgiving. If you have not yet discovered Ibotta, it is an app that saves you tons of money. If you are a new user you could get a free Thanksgiving Dinner. From November 1-27. Choose the offers in app then shop. Buy the items and submit photo of your receipt in the app. Pick one from each category: Protein – Turkey Roast or Smithfield Hickory Smoked Spiral Sliced Ham; Starch – King’s Hawaiian Original Dinner rolls or Maseca Masa Mix; Sauce – Ocean Spray Cranberry Sauce or Dean’s DairyPure Sour Cream; Vegetable – Bird’s Eye Frozen Vegetables or La Costena Peppers in Adobo Sauce Chipotles; Dessert – Cool Whip Whipped Topping or Nestle La Lechera.
World Market Golden Elf. World Market is hiding eight golden elves each day through November 27. A clue to where to find one of the elves is at the front of the store. Each golden elf is worth money at the store. They hide four elves in the morning when the store opens and four later in the day (usually around 3 p.m.). They are usually found fairly quickly. So, maybe have you kids help!
Orchard Town Center. Orchard Town Center is a fun place to shop with tons of locally owned businesses and restaurants. Santa will be there on November 29 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for photos and visits. Plus, you don’t need to have a reservation (but the waiting area is outside – so dress warmly). The Grinch will also make a mischief-filled appearance on November 30 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
We are starting to gather great deals for Black Friday. If there is something you want us to research for you please let us know!
