The Staenberg-Loup Jewish Community Center (JCC Denver) is hosting its third annual Latkes and Lights Hanukkah event on Sunday, December 15, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the community center. Last year, this in-demand event sold out and included a lengthy waitlist. This year, the JCC Denver has increased its capacity for the event to welcome even more attendees. Tickets go on sale October 7 at 10 a.m.
The event includes Hanukkah fun and food including:
- Latke competition where guests can taste and judge latkes to determine who has the best from local Denver restaurants and a separate latke competition from community members’ family recipes. There will be a panel of special Denver-based guest judges to judge both competitions.
- Makers Mart craft fair featuring local vendors selling goods
- Hanukkah games
- Pita and olive oil tasting
- Light room for kids
- Live music
Tickets are available on a sliding scale price model from $21 to $29 for an individual. A family four-pack costs $53 to $77 on the sliding scale. The purchase of one individual ticket or a family four pack includes a complimentary Latkes and Lights tote bag.
