Take advantage of the awesome fall with loads of festivals and outdoor events—this weekend and next are the time to plan to get outside! From things around town to taking a drive up the mountain to see wonderful Colorado leaves changing colors or drinking a beer at a Denver Oktoberfest, we strongly encourage you to take advantage of this fall fun.
Family Fire Muster. Wester Metro’s Fire Protection District is hosting its annual Family Fire Muster on Saturday, September 21 at its Training Center (3535 S Kipling St) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The free event will feature Demos, Activities and more.
Broomfield Days. Midway Park in Broomfield will celebrate the community at Broomfield Days on Saturday, September 21 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. with entertainment, activities, contests, a parade, festival, food booths and more. The event is free.
Elitch Gardens Season Pass. When you purchase a season pass for next summer’s thrills at Elitch Gardens you get to take advantage of the fun now with access to Freight Fest and Luminova Holiday lights display (one of my favorites in town). Avs Drone Show. Avalanche will celebrate the new season with a Drone show at Ball Arena! Mark your calendars for Sunday, September 29th at approximately 7:30 p.m. after the game against the new Utah team.
Ball Fall Festival. On Saturday, September 21 head down to Ball Arena for the Ball Fall Festival from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The free event will include fun for the family including balloon artists, caricature artists, face painters, food trucks and the team mascots!
Belmar Happenings. A lot is going on at Belmar in Lakewood. September 21 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. attend the Romanian Festival with dance, music, food and an expo celebrating Romanian heritage; September 25 try Pure Barre from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. then head over to Bar in the Barre to Bar; September 28 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. enjoy the Swig and Sport Outdoor Festival.
Outlets of Castle Rock Shopping Extravaganza. Join In the one-day ultimate shopping experience at the Outlets of Castle Rock on Saturday, September 28. Tickets are $30 ($20 of which goes back to participating non-profit of your choice). Your ticket includes exclusive discounts, fun activities, entertainment, prize drawings, VIP wine tasting and lunch from the In-N-Out mobile truck. Grab your friends and make a plan to be there.
Bricks & Minifigs Centennial. Do you have a Lego lover in your house? Attend the Bricks and Minifigs Grand Opening in Centennial (12201 East Arapahoe Rd) on September 28. You can buy, sell or trade everything Lego!
Starbucks Freebie. Yes, we wish it was a free Pumpkin Spice Latte. But it is not – it is something longer lasting – on September 19 get a sticker sheet with the purchase of a beverage (one sticker sheet per customer). And decorate that computer or mug with Starbucks love all year round!
