If you’re looking for fun, free activities in Denver for the whole family, look no further than 2nd Saturdays at CSU Spur.
While CSU Spur is always free and open to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the week, it opens its doors from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every second Saturday of the month for a variety of activities and special events.
“We have something for all ages – talk to the vets during animal surgeries, play in our mock clinic and mock kitchen, get to know the horses that live at Spur and work in equine-assisted services, experience virtual reality, and more!,” said Kathryn Venzor, director of education for CSU Spur. “Every 2nd Saturday will feature new, hands-on activities, so we hope visitors will come back for more. We’re also very excited to continue to offer all of our programs and activities completely free and open to the public.”
“We know so many partner organizations also have incredible expertise in the areas of food, water, and health and there are incredible opportunities when we work together to meet community needs, leverage resources, and make new connections –we hope you join us in bringing this community campus to life on 2nd Saturdays!”
Dates for 2nd Saturday in 2024: Feb. 10, March 9, April 13, May 11, June 8, July 13, Aug. 10, Sept. 14, Oct. 12, Nov. 9, and Dec. 14.
