It’s going to be a wild–and sweet–fall in more ways than one!
Starting Sept. 29, Denver Zoo will transform into pure “falloween” fun and celebrate ALL wildlife, even those that inhabit our wildest dreams—from mysterious beasts of lore like Bigfoot to dragons, sea monsters and more.
What you’ll see at Denver Zoo’s Wild Fall
As guests explore the Zoo’s 84-acre campus during Wild Fall, they’ll discover:
- roaming costumed characters
- creature-themed professional pumpkin carvings
- festive autumnal food and spooky drinks
- special animal demonstrations that connect these supernatural beings to the real-life natural world
All Wild Fall activities are free with daytime admission and take place during regular Zoo hours starting at 8:30 a.m. for members and 10 a.m. for the general public.
Denver Zoo Trick-or-Treat Trail
And on select evenings (Oct. 7, 13, 14, 20, 21, 27 and 28), Wild Fall gets even sweeter with Trick-or-Treat Trail, a separately ticketed, limited-admission event serving up wildlife-friendly candy (all palm oil-free or using sustainably sourced palm oil) and spooky seasonal surprises around every corner. Each $20 ticket (free for ages 0-2) includes a reusable trick-or-treat bag, 30-40 pieces of candy from nine candy stations, festive photo ops with characters and sets, and festive food and cocktails available for purchase. The Zoo is also hosting a special sensory-friendly edition of Trick-or-Treat Trail on Oct. 31 for guests and families with autism and sensory processing disorders.
Finally, for the 18+ crowd, the Zoo is hosting its popular Adulting with the Animals series with Monster Masquerade on Oct. 26 featuring creepy-crawly Animal Ambassador appearances, trivia, cool character photo ops, costume contest and a live DJ.
Members and guests are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance due to the popularity of the event and the likelihood that many days and timeslots will sell out. For more information about Wild Fall, Trick-or-Treat Trail and Adulting with the Animals, and to purchase tickets, visit DenverZoo.org.
