New! Family-friendly Social Lounge & Coffee Shop Opens in Highlands

The Den Highlands

Are you looking for a new family-friendly hangout? Check out this new social lounge that is also mission-driven!

The Den, a social lounge for families, is a space that aims to provide a supportive and dignified experience for anyone navigating the parenthood journey and searching for something different. Located at 2900 Zuni St, the space includes a coffee shop that’s open to the public, a lounge overlaid with play for children, a laptop bar, a rentable zen room and a classroom for support groups, curated specialist-led classes, and open crafting. The coffee shop will also spotlight independent brands on a rotating basis, starting with ANDI, a brand founded and led by a Denver-based mom.

The team’s mission at The Den is to validate the diverse and meaningful experiences of all those on a parenting journey. In particular, The Den is designed to be an oasis, resource hub, and support system for anyone navigating the seldom discussed but often world-shattering shift that occurs when you become a parent. Through aesthetic charm and thoughtful programming, the goal of The Den is to enable parents to feel deserving of connection with self and with the community.

“The Den is for parents – whoever you are and wherever you come from. It is a deeply personal endeavor that’s informed by my own turbulent transition into parenthood. It’s built from my experience as a coach, a helpline operator for Postpartum Support International, and from my studies in Matrescence through Columbia. My hope is that we will inspire the parenting population of Denver, and their families, to thrive,” said Chandler Lipe, Founder of The Den. “We’re also so proud and honored to be situated in this neighborhood location that’s teeming with beloved small businesses like Zuni Brewery, Cart-Drive, and Little Man Ice Cream.
