Denver Deals: Energy Day, Colorado Fall Home Show & More
I have tried several of those meal kits (my fave so far is Blue Apron). Spade & Spoon is the Front Range’s only locally sourced meal kit. We tried two different recipes. They were unique and different.  You can pick boxes that are already curated, like the family box, or 30-minute meals, or pick some of your favorites from their build-your-own option. The kit is priced similarly to other home-delivered meal kits and can save you significantly when you consider you won’t have to buy a giant bottle of something when you only need a little bit.

STEM festival Colorado

Energy Day  Energy Day is a free family festival event on Saturday, Sept. 23, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. that consists of numerous interactive demonstrations that familiarize young students with the different types of energy and get them excited to see how a pathway in STEM could be their future career. Emphasis is also placed on the importance of energy in our world, conservation and efficiency in our daily lives, in schools, and in the home. Exhibits featured at the event range from hands-on demonstrations where students and families can see how each energy process works, to small and even large-scale installations that all can observe.

Colorado Fall Home Show. Are you thinking of remodeling or refreshing your tome? Maybe you are just looking for ideas or want to talk to a designer.  Visit the Colorado Fall Home Show at the Colorado Convention Center, Friday September 15 to Sunday, September 17. Tickets are cheap already (at $10 for adults and kids 12 and under for free). But you can also use a BOGO coupon to get one entry free.

Recycle Electronic. Maybe you don’t realize you can’t just throw away old electronics. That you actually have to recycle them. And just getting rid of them is not a cheap endeavor. Take advantage of this great deal at Dick’s Sporting Good Park on Saturday, September 9 from 7 a.m. to noon where you can dump your stuff for $5 per car. Some items cost a bit more ($45 for a TV that is 22” and larger or $20 for a monitor that is 21” or less).

September Sales. I am always looking for what will go on sale during the month we are in. Since we just rounded into September look for these items to be on sale this month: summer clothes, school supplies (including computers), patio furniture, grills, bicycles, summer gardening gear and toward the end of the month look for deals on National Coffee Day on September 29.  Many of the summer deals were on sale Labor Day weekend – but stores that did not off-load all their stock will further reduce summer items this and in the coming weeks.

Free Days. Our free days list has been updated! Mark this page to see free days this week.
