Make-A-Wish helps 8 year-old’s wish of being in a fashion show come true

Make-A-Wish helps 8 year-old’s wish of being in a fashion show come true

Denver Fashion Week is returning May 6-13 to debut local Spring 2023 fashion. This year, DFW and Make-A-Wish have partnered to bring to life the dream of 8-year-old Lucy, a Make-A-Wish Colorado kid.

Lucy will headline the Couture Kids show on May 7 at 11:30 am – a show featuring some of the best children’s fashion in Denver, including Dragonwing Girl, Rainey’s Closet Styled By Katie Andelman and Sustainable Kids.

“Ever since I was little, I loved dressing up,” said Lucy.  “My sister and I would put on fashion shows at home.”

Fulfilling her longtime dream of being in a fashion show, Lucy will make a special runway appearance when she walks for Rainey’s Closet Styled by Katie Andelman and Sustainable Kids.

Rainey’s Closet offers special occasion clothing rentals for children including accessories, limited-run designer clothing, and hard-to-find styles. Parents can rent the perfect photoshoot outfit or birthday outfit, then send it back without having to worry about their child growing out of it!

The show will also feature a red carpet entrance, and a special runway dance performance by Cherry Creek Dance. Emceeing the show is Hailey Hodapp, runway producer and director of Denver Fashion Week.
