Take Women and Girls Outdoor Courses in Boulder with Women’s Wilderness

posted by:

Do you need a break from your kids? Maybe you just want a technology-free weekend to reconnect with yourself in nature. Well, Women’s Wilderness offers both adult and youth courses to help you make that happen.

Women’s Wilderness is a non-profit that has been around for 25 years. Their mission is to support girls, women, and non-binary individuals in accessing their power and improving their health through connection to the outdoors and community. They strive to create transformative outdoor experiences, whether that’s finding an outdoor community or learning new skills for a solo adventure.

They are all about making the outdoors accessible and safe for participants. They offer financial aid and free gear rentals (saves you $$ while you try new activities!). As for safety, they have WFR and SPI-certified instructors with years of guiding experience. All youth courses also follow childcare licensing guidelines.

This summer they are offering girl summer camps and still have availability. Registrations close around April-May.

If you are looking for adult events to join yourself we update our website monthly. You can also join our newsletter to get course updates.

Past participants have said that:

“Being a part of a community who share similar experiences gave me the courage to be involved in nature because similar women like myself can do it. It’s inspiring.”
