Martin Luther King Jr. Day is Monday, January 16, 2023, and here are some wonderful ways to celebrate with your family.

Martin Luther King Marade (March and Parade)

Jan. 16, 2023
This annual event is the only one of its kind in the nation.

City Park
9:30 a.m. – Program commences
10:30 a.m. – Laying of the wreath
10:45 a.m. – Step off to downtown

Civic Center Park
Noon to 1 p.m. – Entertainment, awards and celebration
1 p.m. – Help clean up at the park or head out to other Dr. King service projects

MLK Day of Service Food Drive

Saturday, January 14, noon-2 p.m., Town Center of Aurora. 

The Town Center will be collecting canned and non-perishable food donations and at the end of the event taking them to community food bank partner SECOR.

African American Culture
