How are your New Year’s resolutions going? I actually joined a gym for the first time in years – and I’ve gone. Yay me. This year I tried to go in with a little different mindset. The mindset was not all or nothing. It was not getting to a certain weight. But more of feel better than the time before. Just like these resolutions for my health, I have the same for my finances, a little bit is better than nothing. Save here and there in small ways that add up. Free Days. We have posted the list of all the free days again this year. Mark this page and make a New Year’s Resolution to go to a few of these! This week: free days at Denver Art Museum, Clyfford Still Museum, Four Mile Historic Park and next Monday, National Parks and Botanic Gardens.
Best Family Vacation Deals. For the next several months, many Colorado businesses are offering killer deals on activities, lodging, restaurants, and attractions. Check out these great deals that include Steamboat Springs, Hotel Colorado, Yogi Bear’s Yellowstone Park at Larkspur and more.
Stock Show. The National Western Stock Show is back at the Denver Coliseum. There is the actual Stock Show – meaning all the livestock and there are rodeos. When you purchase a rodeo ticket, it gives you access to the stock showgrounds all day. So make a plan for a whole day of fun. Here are some great ways to get deals on tickets or participate in the fun.
· Stock Show Parade – the parade is free and along 17th downtown on Thursday, January 5 starting at noon at Union Station.
· Groupon has tickets for as little as $16 for different events – rodeos, bull riding, dancing horses, and Xtreme dogs.
· Free Grounds Day. On Tuesday, January 10 Grounds Admission is free thanks to Arrow Electronics.
· Sunday, January 22, is Guest Appreciation Day. Grounds Admission is $12 for adults; and only $4 for kids 3-11; kids two and under are free.

Wendys. Wendy’s has partnered with the Denver Nuggets. When there is a double-double during a home game the next day, you get free 6-piece spicy or crispy chicken nuggets.
