Happy New Year! I had a conversation with a friend discussing how long can we say, “happy new year”? If we are like a Coloradoan with Christmas lights can we say it all the way through the Stock Show (that is how long the Christmas lights remain on the City and County Building for Denver). In any case, I hope you had a great new year and are ready to put your finances in order – which likely includes taking advantage of DEALS all year long.
Free Days. We have posted the list of all the free days again this year. Mark this page and make a New Year’s Resolution to go to a few of these! This week: free days at Buffalo Bill Museum and Grave and Denver Zoo.
Stock Show. The National Western Stock Show is back at the Denver Coliseum. There is the actual Stock Show – meaning all the livestock and there are rodeos. When you purchase a rodeo ticket, it gives you access to the stock showgrounds all day. So make a plan for a whole day of fun. Here are some great ways to get deals on tickets or participate in the fun.
· Stock Show Parade – the parade is free and along 17th downtown on Thursday, January 5 starting at noon at Union Station.
· Groupon has tickets for as little as $16 for different events – rodeos, bull riding, dancing horses, and Xtreme dogs.
· Free Grounds Day. On Tuesday, January 10 Grounds Admission is free thanks to Arrow Electronics.
· Sunday, January 22, is Guest Appreciation Day. Grounds Admission is $12 for adults; and only $4 for kids 3-11; kids two and under are free.
Natural Grocers. Natural Grocers is growing again. They will host a Grand Opening on Saturday, January 7 at their newest location, 3165 N Central Park Blvd. The first 150 customers in line will get a free Mystery Gift card (worth $5 to $500), they can spin the prize wheel inside, and there will be two weeks of Sweepstakes with GREAT prizes (Aventon E-bike or Vitamix Blender are examples). But there will also be great discounts on items in the store.
Nordstrom’s Half Yearly Sale. The annual sale of awesome brands like UGG, Free People, Nike, underwear, and even top makeup brands and more is on! Score up to 60% off some of the top brands. Now through January 9.
Target. There was an ad years ago that my sister and I still sing, “everything you wanted, you didn’t get for Christmas is now on sale.” Nothing could be more true than at the Target sale right now. You can get deals on toys, shoes clothes and more for up to 50% off!
Sephora. Sephora is having a skincare sale through January 17. You can get up to 50% off skincare products from top brands. Also when your order is over $25 you can get free deluxe and trial size itmes with your order.
Bath and Body Works. Bath & Body Works is having their ½ yearly sale. This means you can get up to 75% off body care items like lotions, body butters and soaps as well as getting great smelling candles and wallflowers really inexpensively!
Hickory Farms Gift Box. I have one neighbor who gives me a Hickory Farms gift box every year. I don’t eat it by myself. I usually bring it along with me to a Superbowl Party. If you want to score up to 60% off a great box, now is the time. (The football-themed one is $19.99, normally $39.99).
