Mile High Mamas’ founder Amber Johnson’s husband Jamie is a longtime giant pumpkin grower so we’re especially thrilled to announce this event:
Watch a live carving of Colorado’s largest pumpkin on Halloween!
That’s right. On October 31 from noon-4 p.m., Denver Botanic Gardens will be hosting this memorable event for all to see.
Howie, the largest pumpkin grown in Colorado, will be carved at Denver Botanic Gardens’ York St. location by professional carver Willy Tuz on Halloween day. The pumpkin weighs 1,783 pounds and was grown in Parker, Colorado by Chad New. Tuz carved many of the pumpkins on display at Glow at the Gardens (sold out seasonal event) and is a current finalist on the Food Network’s “Halloween Wars” show. He is happy to pause carving for interviews.
