Denver Arts Week 2022: Family-friendly Events

Denver Arts Week is coming to town November 4-12 and there’s not a more perfect opportunity to expose your kids to the arts! With imaginative activities and events, young minds will be stimulated to create a lifelong love of the arts. 

The big event kicks off on Friday, November 4, with expanded First Friday Art Walks across the city’s creative neighborhoods, followed by FREE Saturday Night at the Museums on Saturday, November 5, when many of Denver’s top cultural institutions will be open for free from 5-10 p.m.

Family-friendly Denver Arts Week Events

Denver Zoo Celebrates Arts Week

November 4-12

Denver Zoo is celebrating Denver Arts Week by engaging local artists with a cultural heritage that aligns with the Zoo’s priority wildlife conservation regions, including Asia (Mongolia and Vietnam), South America (Peru) and North America (Indigenous Colorado). This diverse group of artists revitalize and beautify a historic Zoo exhibit by creating a series of five murals inspired by wildlife and conservation. Guests will be able to see the creation of the murals each day during Denver Arts Week as part of their regular daytime admission. See DenverZoo.org for the cost.

Day of Demos

November  6, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Come to the Art Students League of Denver for a day of free demos by faculty members in celebration of Denver Arts Week. Make 3D Printing Boxes and Metalsmithing Keepsake Boxes.   https://asld.org/event/day-of-demos-2022/

38th Dia de los Muertos

November 4

Free Night at the Museums

Denver’s best museums are open late and admission is FREE between 5 and 10 p.m. FREE shuttles make it easy to explore all evening. Participating museums include the Children’s Museum of Denver, Dinosaur Ridge, Forney Museum of Transportation, Four Mile Historic Park, Clyfford Still Museum, Denver Art Museum, History Colorado Center, Kirkland Museum of Fine and Decorative Art, Denver Botantic Gardens, The Denver Police Museum and Denver Firefighters Museum, Museo de los Americas, Molly Brown House Museum, and Denver Museum of Nature and Science. milehighmamas.com
