Free Children’s Clothing and Costume Swap in Denver!

Free Children's clothes Denver

It’s the final Children’s Consignment Sale of the year this weekend with Just Between Friends Denver but we have an even better deal for you: FREE children’s clothing in Denver.

Local nonprofit WeeCycle is inviting the public to shop its collection of children’s clothing – for free. There’s no catch: anyone is welcome to come and take as much free children’s clothing as they’d like on Sunday, Oct. 16 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Stanley Marketplace. Sizes range from newborn to 2T.

WeeCycle receives tens of thousands of clothing items each year – in many sizes, it’s far more than the organization can possibly distribute to its partners and families in need. As a way to give this leftover gently used clothing a second life, WeeCycle is encouraging all families — even those who can afford to buy new — to make the intentional decision to shop sustainably by choosing second-hand.

“We’re calling this new initiative ‘Clothing for All,’” said Morgan Seibel, executive director of WeeCycle. “It’s a win-win-win; it allows us to make space in our warehouse, gives families outside of WeeCycle’s network access to quality clothing for free, and keeps these excess items out of the landfill.”

Halloween Costume Swap

Families are also invited to bring their kids’ outgrown Halloween costumes (please no other clothing items) and participate in a costume swap at the event. The WeeCycle Clothing for All shopping experience is part of Stanley Marketplace’s Fall Festival, in partnership with That Minimal Life, Women in Sustainability, Brie Z Operations and Bonfire Event Co.

“The fact that we have so much extra clothing is really a testament to the generosity of our donors and supporters,” said Seibel. “This community never ceases to amaze me, and we hope this event opens the door for more people to learn about WeeCycle’s mission and make sustainable choices so we can give our kids the gift of a healthier planet.”
