Denver Deals: Frozen Custard Day, Denver Broncos, Carnation Festival and More!

I usually love to be one of the first people to a place – which is why it is somewhat astounding to me that I’ve not yet been to Meow Wolf, especially as they are celebrating one year! Maybe I will snag one of the tickets for the Day Party on September 17 (tickets on sale now). Tickets are normally $35 for adults and at this event, they will be just $15!
Frozen Custard Day. National Frozen Custard day may have been earlier this week, but Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers is celebrating all week long. Get your free mini sundae at Freddy’s any time through August 11.
Denver Broncos. Denver Broncos Training camp is a fun place to go see the team – even if you can’t afford a ticket to a regular game. All the Players are there, you can see them working out and maybe even get an autograph. There are still a few practices at the UC Health Training Center (13403 Broncos Parkway) open to the public, including practice with the Cowboys on August 11 – where you can check out the Broncos in action without having to pay for a ticket.
Free Ride [RTD]. RTD is offering free rides this whole month! Any time in August you will not have to pay for a ride on a bus or the light rail. When my kids went to Washington DC several years ago, they said they loved navigating public transportation the best. So why not teach your kids how to do that right here – and take a free ride downtown just for the outing of it all?
Wheat Ridge Carnation Festival. This weekend, Friday, August 12 to Sunday August 14 head to Wheat Ridge for the Carnation Festival which features fireworks, live music, classic cars, spaghetti dinners on Friday & Saturday, pancake breakfast on Saturday morning, a parade, art show, carnival games, and more.
Centennial Under The Stars. Centennial Under The Stars has a special event planned for Saturday, August 13 with live music all evening long, food trucks and free fun kids activities. The headliner show is Paizley Park, the Prince tribute band and a laser light show to end the night. Centennial Center Park is at 13050 E Peakview Avenue.
Four Mile Historic Park Pumpkin Harvest Festival. October may feel like a long ways away, but now is the time to get your tickets for the Pumpkin Harvest Festival at Four Mile Historic Park on October 8 and 9. Tickets are on sale to purchase visit: https://www.
Converse on sale. Both my kids and I love the style of an old Chuck Taylor from Converse. This is why I loved when I found a sale section at Converse.com where I could get shoes and clothes for up to 65% off and free shipping (with a free membership). Plus, I could get an extra 25% off when I used promo code Summer25.
Amazon Deals. I often skip writing about Amazon deals because I post this weekly and the prices/deals at Amazon can change very quickly or are only good for a day or two. However, I feel I would be remiss if I let it go by to tell you I have recently seen great deals on school snacks. Goldfish 20 pack for just $8.53 or Mott’s Fruit Snacks 40 pack for $5.43, Pringles small can 12-count for $7.99! All of these are perfect additions to lunchboxes! With these, you have to subscribe to get the deal – but can just as easily unsubscribe as soon as you receive it.
Free Concerts and Movies. Have you checked out our lists for this summer? They are chock-full of events in nearly every corner of the city on almost any night of the summer, you can find free Denver outdoor concerts or outdoor movies to enjoy with the whole family outside!
