The last thing you need over the holidays is more things to add to your to-do list! We’ve teamed up with Comcast to help you prevent digital headaches during the most wonderful time of the year.
In part 1, we talked about how to schedule less screen time to maximize family time and also how to protect devices on your home network. In part 2, we share some tricks and tips of how Comcast keeps your home and packages safe with some seriously cool motion-triggered technology, as well as how to make entertaining easier.
Keep your packages and home safe
If you haven’t had a package swiped off your porch, you’re one of the lucky ones. A survey commissioned by Comcast and conducted by Wakefield Research found that nearly 1 in 4 people reported being a victim of package theft and nearly half know someone who has had a package stolen.
Home security systems like Xfinity Home, or connected cameras are a great way to keep an eye on your packages and the activity in front of your home while you’re away. And through Xfinity Home’s security camera features you can better spot package thefts this holiday season with the ability to filter motion-triggered activity by people, vehicles or pets!
Easily Share Your WiFi Password With Holiday Guests
If you’re hosting family and friends this holiday season, you’ll soon find that an influx of guests means an influx of questions about how to join your WiFi network. Using the xFi app on X1 you can quickly and easily share your WiFi password with your guests using the Xfinity Voice Remote by simply saying “what’s my WiFi password?”
And when it’s time for them to leave, simply turn off that password and escort them out. OK, we’re kidding. Kind of.
You have high expectations for the holidays with your family and friends and you should hold your connectivity to the same level. Xfinity xFi and Xfinity Home from Comcast allow you to focus on the moments and experiences that matter most this holiday season.
