Denver area neighborhoods are always re-invigorating themselves and something new and fun is around almost every corner. This past weekend I went with a friend to the new developments at 9+CO (that is 9th and Colorado). There are a couple of amazing new restaurants there to try. Blanco and Culinary Dropout. Blanco features awesome Mexican fare (a must-try is the street corn) and Culinary Dropout is the hippest of sports bars with the most awesome treats for a bunch in addition to a kick-up on what you might expect at a sports bar. I was talked into trying the ice cream and I’m so glad I did. This is the newest of the up-and-coming neighborhoods that will be all the buzz in the near future thanks to these two restaurants.

Starbucks. Not that I’m really ready for Christmas yet (I’m old school – and think Christmas comes AFTER Thanksgiving), but when it comes to deals to get you in the mood, nothing quite hits the spot like one of Starbuck’s seasonal drinks (have you been drinking your Pumpkin Spice Latte for months now already). November 4 score a free reusable cup when you get a seasonal drink at Starbucks. The new sugar cookie almond milk latte may be my new favorite!
Clifford The Big Red Dog Movie. Enter to win reserved seats for 4 at the advance screening of CLIFFORD THE BIG RED DOG on Saturday, November 6th in Denver! Email AlliedDenver303@gmail.
Wendy’s Frosty Key Tag. I threw one of these Wendy’s Frosty Key Tags in my kids’ stocking and it was one of the most well-received things! For just $2, this little key fob allows the holder to get a free jr. frosty all year long with any other purchase (my daughter loves fries and frosty combo).
Ibotta Thanksgiving. TBH, I’ve still not tried Ibotta – apparently as a deals gal, I’m totally missing out. Thanksgiving may be the occasion for me to try it. Thanks to Ibotta I can get a Thanksgiving meal for…FREE! You go onto their site and download the app, click-free Thanksgiving (turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, vegetables, cornbread, cream of mushroom soup, fried onions, gravy mix, and 2 liters of soda), shop for the items on the list (at Walmart), scan your receipt then receive cashback. Sounds pretty simple.
Ski Season. Looking for great deals for the upcoming ski season? Get your season passes sooner rather than later! Most of the passes will continue to go up in price through their final sell date – which is usually right around Thanksgiving but you can usually save up to $50 by getting it earlier in the sales cycle. Plus now is the time to get the Vail Resorts the Epic School Kids Pass. This allows kids K-5th grade four days at EACH of their Colorado Resorts (Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone and Crested Butte). Plus, a beginner ski lesson and rental equipment on that day! Details can be found here or the Colorado Ski Country’s Passport which allows 4th, 5th and 6th graders to get 4 days of skiing at each of the 21 member ski areas for just $59. Details can be found here.
