Do you want to give your child a summer experience they’ll never forget? Enroll your child in the Summer of Connection at the Keystone Science School! Our summer programs range from on-campus day camp to week-long backpacking experiences in the mountains of Summit County, Colorado. Regardless of scale, our programs teach a variety of skills such as leadership, teamwork, curiosity, critical thinking, and more. Not to mention, it’s just about the most fun you can cram into a week!
We also encourage all campers to get out of their comfort zone while at camp, whether that means summiting a mountain, making a new friend, or just getting out of the car on the first day. We are proud to change lives and build communities each summer and even more excited to be able to offer safe and healthy programming during the time of COVID-19.

Discovery Overnight Camp
(entering grades 2-8)
Our Discovery Overnight Camp allows students the opportunity to spend a week on our beautiful Keystone campus staying in log dormitories or canvas tents. During that week, campers get to experience all parts of Science! Adventure! Fun! through wilderness overnights, challenge hikes, adventure days, large group games, archery, talent shows, and more! Spots fill up quickly so register now!
Day Camp
(entering grades K-5)
Our day camps are an awesome introduction to our programs and are perfect for campers who may not be ready to sleep away from the family quite yet. We go hiking, play games, do arts & crafts, conduct science experiments, and more! We recommend being ready to enroll as soon as possible – spots will fill up quickly!
Discovery Adventures
(entering grades 6-8)
This is an overnight program where campers have the opportunity to base camp for a whole week! It’s a great chance to learn wilderness skills and explore the beautiful mountains of Summit County. Discovery Adventures also include some of our favorite Discovery Overnight activities including challenge hikes, talent shows, large group games, and more!
Discovery Expeditions
(entering grades 9-12)
This is our most advanced overnight program. Campers go on multi-day backpacking trips where they learn skills such as independence, decision making, and a love for the outdoors. We have specialized staff for this program that go through comprehensive backcountry training and hold Wilderness First Responder certification.
