Kindergarten Prep Group

The intent of the Kindergarten Prep Group is to provide classroom-like experiences for children who may or may not have had any preschool experiences or who need more support as they prepare for the transition to kindergarten. The expected result is that children are more prepared for the school-based environment and learning activities as they enter kindergarten. The transition to kindergarten is meant to be one of the most important milestones a child will experience. Children with few group experiences may find adjusting to the kindergarten setting more challenging than children who have attended early childhood education programs. In response, Summit’s Kindergarten Prep Group is based primarily on social-emotional development, along with early literacy preparation.  Kinder Prep helps children become familiar with a classroom setting while engaging in a learning environment that is supportive of their comprehensive development.

Kindergarten Prep Group will be offered at Summit Pediatric Therapy’s Aurora, Centennial, Denver, and Littleton locations. If you have questions on whether your child would benefit from our Kindergarten Prep group, please give us a call (720-542-8737) or register through our website, www.summitpedstherapy.com.

Steve & Kate’s

Steve & Kate’s is a camp where kids take charge, learning to trust their instincts and create amazing experiences. We are a self-directed day camp for ages 5-12. Prompting kids to act on their own judgment and trust their instincts, Camp is where kids are guaranteed to choose for themselves; to fuel their sense of self; to fail and try again. It’s messy, unexpected, and totally theirs.

Summer 2021 will still feature fan-favorite activities from classic Camp, now experienced through pod-like “squads” that meet currently required mandates and guidelines for safe gathering amid the pandemic. And for forty years, we’ve been upfront and outright when it comes to our value for families and their dollars. With us, parents never lose what they don’t use—we issue refunds with no questions asked. The unknown or unforeseen doesn’t compromise what’s right.
