February is the month of love. But as a single lady – I don’t love all the ewey, gooey, sappy hearts and flowers this month. But that is not to say that there are not other things that I am in love with this month. These things that I love are yes, Gretchen’s February Grabs.
Chewy.com. If you have a pet, Chewy.com is the place to shop! Their customer service is amazing. While I have not been on the recipient end of these, I have some friends who were. I had one friend get a drawn portrait of their pup and another had to remove their pet from the site, she received a bouquet of flowers as a condolence. When customer service seems to have gone down the drain (I think many are using Covid as an excuse), Chewy has amped theirs up!
Pickleball. One of my friends recently talked me into trying pickleball. It is a fun way to exercise outside with friends and all while doing it socially distanced. It is a little like tennis with a wiffleball. It is a pretty new sport so don’t feel intimidated that people have ‘been playing for years’ and are a lot better than you. Suffice it to say that the people I was playing with were friendly and happy to share the game. Apparently, it is the quickest growing sport in the United States!
New Pajamas. I have difficulty shopping for clothes online. I want to touch and feel how soft the fabric is and I want to see if it fits. That is why I love one of my newest purchases, a new set of pajamas from WalMart! They are so soft and comfy. Let’s get real, the actual fit of pajamas doesn’t really matter a ton. I also have a secret dislike of pajamas that have those button-down tops. They are cute, but as a stomach sleeper, they are not comfortable AT ALL (and I dislike when they pop open every once in a while). The set including jogger pants and t-shirt style top, is just $11.84.
Cake in a Cup. Every once-in-a-while I get the craving for a cake. But I don’t want to make a whole one (I might eat the whole thing). I just want a little – something like a cupcake. I have even gone so far as to get the packets for cake in a cup (I sent these and a cup to my son in college for his birthday celebration). But then a friend told me the WAY cheaper way to do it and it still tastes great. Use 3 tablespoons of cake mix (out of one of the full cake boxes at the store) and 2 tablespoons of water. Microwave for 1 minute. Voila – Cake in a cup for one…and extra mix to make more.
