A New Face In A New Place!

A New Face In A New Place!

Our music school has been serving Littleton and the surrounding area for fourteen years now, but we’ve only been in our “new” location a little more than a year.

And we’re already bursting at the seams!

I’m delighted by the support we’ve received from the community, which has enabled us to continue to grow (and to attract the best music instructors in Colorado).

And I’m even more delighted to welcome Nicole Contreras to our musical family!  Nicole joins us as our new full-time office staffer, and she’s already a big hit with our students and their families.

Our enrollment is about a third greater than it was this time last year when we took up residence at our new location at 5501 S. Broadway.  That explosive growth has enabled (maybe I should say “required!”) us to add to our staff.

And I feel blessed to have found Nicole, who was at the top of a very long list of applicants for the position.

“I love being here!” Nicole says.  “It’s great to have found a music school that goes the extra mile in helping students and their families.  Everybody gets a very customized experience here, and I just love that about it.”

Nicole Contreras: The New Smiling Face

Nicole brings a wealth of experience and management in the hospitality industry to her position at the front desk here at Littleton School of Music.

“I’m still learning,” she says, “but I’m determined to learn fast.  I love music, and I love thinking about how to improve and organize things, so I’m really looking forward to what I can contribute to the school.”

When families and students get in touch with Littleton School of Music, they will be greeted personally just about any time, any day of the week, by a live person who can help them on the phone, via email, or in person.

“My biggest thing is making sure every single student, or family, gets all their questions answered,” she says.  “I want to make sure everyone’s expectations are not just met, but exceeded, every single day.”

When you meet Nicole, you won’t be able to keep from being infected by her energy, positivity, and optimistic spirit.  It’s a delight working with her!

As Director of the school, my focus has always been to bring as many resources as possible to bear in serving the Littleton community and meeting the needs of our music students and their families.  Bringing Nicole on board is a great way to do that.

Our students tell us that some music lesson providers are “a little hard to reach,” especially at certain times of the day or week.  I want to make sure that’s not the case at Littleton School of Music.

We are always here for our students and their families (and, of course, for our “blue ribbon” music instructors) and now, we’re even more available and ready to serve.

If you’re looking for full-time service and a person who can always answer your questions, you’ve come to the right music school when you get in touch with Littleton School of Music.  That’s my aspiration, and with the addition of Nicole Contreras to our staff, it’s absolutely a reality.

Looking for in-person or remote lessons? While a majority of students enjoy their lessons safely in-person, we are also offering online music lessons as well and it’s easy to switch between these options as well.

Stephan Hume, founder of Littleton School of Music, appeared on the hit MTV show “Made,” and created the school in 2006.  His music degree is from the University of Colorado (Denver), and he’s a recent president of BNI “Action Partners.”  Stephan lives in Littleton with his wife and two children.
