Bug-A-Boo,  Butterfly Pavilion 
Oct 18 – 29 
Colorado’s Butterfly Pavilion announced today the return of Bug-A-Boo, it’s safe, indoor trick-or-treating event, from Oct. 18 through Oct. 31. Halloween revelers can put on a costume and enjoy a trick-or-treating experience that is educational and fun, while adhering to state and local safety guidance. Hours for trick or treating will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (with the last entry at 4 p.m.) daily from Oct. 18 through Oct. 29. On Oct. 30 and 31, Butterfly Pavilion will extend its hours and be open until 8:20 p.m. (with the last entry at 7:00 p.m.).

Boo at the Zoo Storybook Safari, Denver Zoo
Oct 1-31
Boo at the Zoo: Storybook Safari—a modified, masked version of Denver’s family favorite! Throughout their 84-acre campus, classic animal stories and fairy tales come to life with costumed characters, mythical creatures, unforgettable animal experiences and food fit for a king or queen. 

Boo at the Zoo at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo

Trick-or-treat and visit your favorite animals, Oct. 17-18, 23-25 and 30-31, 3:40-8:30 p.m. (last admission at 7:20 p.m.). Online timed ticketing only. Some nights are likely to sell out, due to limited capacity. 

Día de los Muertos Celebration at the Denver Botanic Gardens
Oct 28 – Nov 2 
Celebrate Day of the Dead with online activities, onsite altar showcase, Virtual Mercado, related events and programs. The Gardens’ annual celebration of the holiday includes both onsite and offsite/virtual offerings. At the Gardens’ York Street location, view the altar showcase, Oct. 28 – Nov. 2. The showcase offers visitors a unique opportunity to explore the rich history and long-standing traditions of this beautiful celebration.

Dia de Los Muertos Rock Art: Sugar Skulls, Marigolds and Monarchs at Longmont Museum 
Oct 29, 7:30 pm – 10:00 pm
Paint colorful rocks while you learn about the history and significance of the calavera (skull), cempasuchil (marigold), and monarca (monarch butterfly) in Day of the Dead celebrations. Place your finished rocks on your family altar to honor your departed loved ones on November 1.

14th Annual Centerra Halloween Hullabaloo, Drive-In Style: at The Marketplace at Centerra 
Oct 30  – 31 
14th Annual Centerra Halloween Hullabaloo, Drive-In Style: This free ticketed drive-in has three showtimes on both Friday, Oct. 30 and Sat. Oct. 31 at The Marketplace at Centerra. The Centerra Hullabaloo will feature three movies including Hotel Transylvania, and The Addams Family (2019) to safely celebrate Halloween.

Trick-o-Trials: A Halloween Obstacle Course at Apex Movement Denver 
Oct 30  – 31 
Join Apex Movement Denver for Trick-o-Trials: A Halloween Obstacle Course. Full of surprise Halloween themed circus performances by the Circus Foundry Cast. This event is a perfect alternative to traditional trick-or-treating with scheduled timeslots.  Trick-o-Treat your way through 7 unique obstacles each guarded by one your favorite Halloween Monsters.

Trick-or-Treat at 13th Floor Haunted House
October 31, 1-4 p.m. 
This is no trick, just a treat! Looking for a safe, sweet way to celebrate Halloween? This year, for the first time ever, 13th Floor is hosting the best Trick or Treating event in Denver. Costumes encouraged! We welcome all witches, princesses, and monsters alike to join us for this scare-free event! Leave it to the Halloween experts to create a family-friendly event like never before. Recommended for children aged 5 & up. Use code TOT5 For $5 Off Tickets. Expires October 29th at noon.

Drive-thru Trick-or-Treat at The Ranch Events Complex 
Oct 31, 11:00 am – 4:00 pm
Organizations are getting creative for Halloween and folks up in Northern Colorado are no exception. NoCo’s Greatest Drive-Thru Trick-or-Treat Experience is set for Saturday, October 31 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at The Ranch Events Complex. Think of it as a parade in reverse, where the spectators move and the displays stay in place.

Howl-a-Ween Pet Parade at Denver Union Station
October 31, 1-3 p.m.
Bust out your favorite superhero, ladybug, policeman or princess costume for your four-legged friend and head to the inaugural Howl-a-Ween Pet Parade + Yappy Hour. This outdoor event will be held on Denver Union Station Plaza.

Trunk or Treat at the Ranch at Zuma’s Rescue Ranch 
Oct 31, 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Join the Ranch for a fun, safe way to celebrate Halloween! They will have two options to celebrate: drive-through, and park & play. Wear your costumes and visit with staff, volunteers, and herd members in their costumes too.  Drive around the property and collect treats and visit with the horses from the safety of your car. Or park and take a tour and show off your costumes.

Secret Dance Addiction Halloween Digital Dance Party: Space Rave
Oct 31, 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm
Join this digital dance party on Halloween with the Secret Dance Addiction global community. COSTUME / DANCE CONTEST + ALL AGES! Get dressed up, bring your family, grab some dance floor decor + dance with us from ANYWHERE in the WORLD! This is an all-ages event. 

Virtual Day of the Dead Celebration 
Nov 1, 2:30 pm – 4:00 pm
Longmont won’t’ be gathering for their usual downtown festival due to COVID-19, but you can celebrate Day of the Dead from home with all of the performances you love live-streamed right to your computer, tablet, or phone. Performers include Las Dahlias singing Mexican trio, Grupo Folklorico Mexico Lindo dance, mariachi, poetry by bicultural community leader Laura Soto, and much more!

5th Annual Day of the Dead/Dia de los Muertos Cultural Celebration at Thornton Community Center (south lawn) 
Nov 1 – Nov 3 
The 5th annual Day of the Dead/Dia de los Muertos celebration comes to you virtually this year. Celebrate this colorful cultural holiday safely with an interactive art experience that connects people at home with an engaging outdoor event on the south lawn of the Thornton Community Center (TCC).
