Are you ready for ski season? It might really feel like it this week with the snow on Monday! Many of the ski resorts have announced the ways they will make your season still fun but also how they will keep you as safe as they can – maybe it is a reservation system.
Consignment Sales. Once again, MileHighMamas is proud to bring you a comprehensive list of consignment sales for great kid’s clothes finds! Check out our list here. Fall sales will kick up again on September 17.
Outlets at Castle Rock. The Outlets of Castle Rock annually host a Shop A Thon that benefits area charities. The event will still go on this year, albeit a bit differently- there will be time slots each day to check in which will eliminate the lines. The event is scheduled for October 3 and 4. The $20 tickets (100% proceeds benefitting the charities) are on sale now through Eventbrite. While you are there shop some of the great new outlet stores – the one I’m most excited about? Lululemon!
First Bank Fiesta. First Bank is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month. Mention First Bank Fiesta when you visit specific Hispanic-owned businesses each Friday through September. Here is a handy list of participating restaurants: https://efirstbankblog.com/
Crush Walls. On September 14-20, RiNo will celebrate Crush Walls. The annual free festival that celebrates graffiti. The permanent outdoor gallery gets a fresh coat of paint every year! This year is not one to miss – with all the things 2020 has brought. There is also a Kid Crush where there will be demonstrations and panel discussions.
YWCA COVID Webinar. YWCA Boulder County will be hosting “A Safe Return to Early Child Care During COVID-19”, a free webinar, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 10, via Zoom. Gain more information and a better understanding of how early child care safety is being handled in Colorado during the COVID-19 crisis. The webinar is free but requires registration: https://bit.ly/3lAm0k5
Uncorked Kitchen. Uncorked Kitchen has a way to get kids excited about cooking! The series includes live virtual cooking class one day a week, chef prepared meal kit (serves 3-4ppl) with all ingredients to create a delicious 3-course meal for the family, recipe cards and a branded apron. Your junior chef will learn from the chef’s demos during class. They will cook along with the chef – via zoom (or they can access the full recording of the class to cook with when it fits your schedule). Pick up your meal kit the day before. MileHighMamas readers get a 10% discount when you use the code: UKONLINEMHM.
Target Car Seat Trade-in. Target has the answer if your child has outgrown their car seat. Get 20% off select baby items when you take the old seat to the Target Car Seat Trade in September 13-26.
Ski Deals
Vail Resorts. The 2020-21 ski season will look different with COVID-19 but, Vail Resorts is pulling all the stops to lure skiers to the slopes of their Colorado resorts: Vail, Beaver Creek, Crested Butte, Keystone and Breckenridge. Check-out all their great Epic Mountain Rewards including 20% off food and beverage, lodging, ski school, rentals, mountain activities and more. And, of course, Epic School Kids is a free program for kindergarten through fifth graders that provides four days of skiing and riding at each of their resorts.
Colorado Ski Country 5th and 6th Grade Passport Colorado Ski Country is looking forward to another year of fun skiing (which is practically a socially distanced sport, right?). The pass is good for free skiing (and a beginner lesson!) at the Colorado Ski Country 22 member resorts. The deal is free to 5th Graders and a minimal price for 6th graders! For details and to apply visit: https://www.
Copper Mountain. Copper Mountain is one of my favorite resorts within a day’s drive of Denver. They usually have great deals on four-packs (with the 5th day free) when you purchased the pass at events. BUT, this year, you can score that deal now and online! Just $299 for five days of skiing (making that just about $60 per day)!
Christy Sports Powder Daze. One of the big sales of great ski deals is normally only in person in at Christy Sports. This year, you can find many of those deals online! https://store.
Colorado Gems Card. Colorado Ski Industry’s best deal of the year is the Gems card. For just $35 you can get buy one get one free lift tickets (or 30% off single ticket) at every one of the 11 member resorts. On sale now through October 8.
