Anne U White Trail is a great kid-friendly hike close to Denver
My kids and I are out once a week exploring kid-friendly hikes within 40-60 minutes of Denver. We have found some to be busier than others but all are great to get the kiddos outside! Here is one of our favorites.

Anne U White Hike – Boulder

I would first point out to everyone that the Anne U White trail in Fourmile Canyon Creek Park in Boulder County is a busy trail with limited parking. When we arrived at 8:15 a.m., there were only four spots left. I think the key is to go early in the morning or later in the afternoon.

The trail is an out-and-back that totals about 3.5 miles and took us about 2 hours of hiking time. It is a steady incline on the way up but not too tough (you gain about 480 feet). Both my kids walked the whole way, even my 3.5-year-old! You hike along Fourmile Canyon Creek and cross it over 30 times on really cool rock bridges…this was a highlight for my 7-year-old!

It is a great family-friendly hike. The best part about this hike is that it is very shaded. You hike through the forest the whole way!
