It’s no secret that The Broadmoor is my family’s favorite destination in Colorado. We are 10 years strong with our semi-annual visit and I have been fortunate to write for their magazine the past several years. The Forbes Five Star/AAA Five Diamond luxury resort corners the market so many of our family’s favorite memories–from lounging at the outdoor pool to adventuring with Broadmoor Outfitters to bowling at PLAY.
Lest you think a visit to The Broadmoor has to break the bank, think again!
The Broadmoor’s Colorado Appreciation Offer is back for January 2020, offering classic room accommodations starting at $149/night.
Along with the appreciation rate, the resort will sprinkle in special events throughout the month. January 17 marks the 100th Anniversary of enacting Prohibition, and in the spirit of Mr. Spencer Penrose (The Broadmoor founder who famously opposed Prohibition — the man loved drinking so much he had a bloodshot glass eyeball made to match his real eye when he was drunk or hungover – you can see the glass eyeball in a case in the lobby!), The Broadmoor will be offering different Prohibition cocktails at each of the restaurants and lounges at a special of two for $19.20.
Throughout January, a special three-course, prix fixe menu will be available during the first hour of service at both The Broadmoor’s popular Italian restaurant, Ristorante del Lago, and guest favorite Summit for $45.00 ++ per person.
Plus, The Broadmoor has a variety of complimentary activities available throughout the month from cooking and cocktail demonstrations to fly casting and tying, indoor golf clinics, ballroom dance classes, cosmic bowling (at the resort’s own six-lane bowling alley), photography skills workshops, and more.
