It’s A Wonderful Life: An Opera in Two Acts at Macky Auditorium, CU Boulder

Based on the 1946 movie of the same name, Jake Heggie and Gene Scheer’s brand new opera adaptation of “It’s a Wonderful Life” follows a young guardian angel named Clara as she attempts—with heart and just a bit of holiday magic—to prove to George what an incredible impact he’s had on his small town.
The Nutcracker with Ballet Melange at Lakewood Cultural Center

Ballet Melange is a new Colorado nonprofit dance performance company and trainee program with a mission to bring high-quality dance performances to a wide range of audiences, especially those without regular access to the arts. In keeping with this mission, Ballet Melange invites groups of school children and seniors to see The Nutcracker on Friday, November 15, at 11 am for the amazing price of $5 per ticket.
Beech-Nut’s Million Meals at the Movies at The Elaine Wolf Theatre at the JCC

Beech-Nut’s Million Meals at the Movies is a family movie night and storytime at The Elaine Wolf Theatre at the JCC on Saturday, November 16th from 10:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. The event is FREE to attend, but tax-deductible donations to No Kid Hungry will be welcomed (every $5 donated can help provide up to 50 meals for a child who is facing hunger!)

One of the foremost photographers to photograph the great American West, William Henry Jackson’s images had an immense influence on the public’s perception of the American West. A portion of those images were captured here in Colorado as Jackson traveled throughout the west by rail. This exhibit not only showcases the Museum’s collection of Jackson photographs but provides visitors with the opportunity to visit the rail car he traveled and lived in – the Denver & Rio Grande Western business car – the Rico.
