Deals: Cirque du Soleil, free slurpee, Irish Festival

I usually only think of Ocean Prime when there is a special occasion (took my parents there for their 50th Wedding Anniversary). But it doesn’t need to be only for special occasions. They have an amazing new summer menu launching this week.  And, summer will also include live music every weekend and half-priced happy hour offerings! (Follow my Instagram GeeWhy93 to see more on Wednesday).

Free Slurpee on 7/11.  7-Eleven is giving away a free small Slurpee on July 11  from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Also, join 7REWARDS and use the app to scan your FREE 7/11 Day Slurpee. A coupon for 1 FREE Slurpee of any size will be waiting for you the next day inside the app! Good for 30 days.* *While supplies last in participating stores. Offer valid 7/12-8/12.

Let’s Roam. A couple weeks ago, I got to participate in a Let’s Roam scavenger hunt. It is an app based hunt that lets you discover all kinds of great places in Denver and restaurants afterward (with the membership on the app you can download specials at different restaurants). It is great fun for the whole family to discover together (and you’re not locked in a room together). Give it a try and here’s a discount code you can use to make it cheaper!

Cirque du Soleil. Have you always wondered what the big deal is with Cirque shows? They are really something you have to experience. Even I have a hard time explaining what exactly a show is. Right now, you can save up to 25% off tickets for Corteo August 15-22 at the Pepsi Center.

Colorado Irish Festival. St. Patrick’s Day is not the only day to celebrate your Irish-ness. You can be a part of the Irish Festival at Clement Park this weekend – Friday, July 12 thorough Sunday, July 14. Celebrate with food, music, dance, sports, culture and sheep herding! Kids get in FREE.

Phantom Circus, Denver’s biggest circus troupe, is taking over the Denver Center for Performing Arts on Saturday, July 13th at the Seawell Ballroom! Their 2 p.m. circus matinee is family friendly and a new edition to their shows. Use the discount code: phantomlovesfamilies at checkout for 20% off tickets. http://bit.ly/PhantomCircusTickets

Noodles & Co Mac and Cheese Day. National Mac & Cheese day is July 14 all Noodles & Company NoodlesREWARDS members can get a free bowl of Wisconsin Mac & Cheese with the purchase of an entrée. Or go healthy and get zucchini noodles.

Gigi’s Cupcakes. Gigi’s Cupcakes has a special cupcake weekly on Tuesday for just $2.

Dave and Busters. Looking for something fun to do with the kids that is inside (out of the rain or of the heat depending on the day)? Try Dave and Busters on a Wednesday when games are ½ price or you can choose unlimited video games plus one of 10 dishes for $21.99.

Amazon Prime Days. Start putting things in your basket – Amazon Prime Day is coming up July 15 & 16. It is two days of awesome deals! AND if you are not a prime member, you can sign up for a FREE 30 day membership! (Think Black Friday deals in July). Plus, this year they are showing an exclusive Taylor Swift concert on Prime. Whole Foods is owned by Amazon. So, Prime members that spend $10 between now and July 16 get $10 credit to use on Prime Day.

Macy’s Black Friday (in July). I’m not sure if it is meant to compete with Amazon Prime Day but, Macy’s is holding a sale right now that they are calling Black Friday in July with an extra 25% off many items. Use Promo Code: July. They are also listing daily flash specials.

Arc Summer SaleArc Thrift Stores is having a one day 99-cent summer clothing sale on July 19. All Summer wear including shorts, t-shirts, short sleeve tops, tanks, capris, and swimwear will be just 99 cents!

Free Summer Concerts and Movies. One of the best parts about summer is being outside in the warm evenings and what could be better than a picnic in a park and free live music or a movie? Nothing! We’ve rounded up some of the best of the best in town here: Summer Concerts.

Staycation at Curtis Hotel. Spend some summer quality time (sans digital) at the Curtis hotel. They are encouraging families to “Stay Happy” this summer – with the new Camp Curtis Digital Detox. Campers get a map of their favorite downtown Denver Destinations – and enjoy a $20 stipend to pay for B-cycle bikes or kayak rental at Confluence Kayaks. And they get a Urban Survival Kit.
