World’s Largest Swim Lesson at Pirates Cove Water Park 
June 20, 8:00 am – 10:30 am

Pirate’s Cove is proud to promote a Learn to Swim event! Drowning remains the 2nd leading cause of injury-related death of children ages 1-14 years. A free half-hour swim lesson will provided. After the lesson, stay and work on the skills learned.

16th Street Fair at 16th Street Mall – Pedestrian Mall

The 11th annual 16th Street Fair is an annual celebration of fine art, handcrafted goods, and the 16th Street Mall in Downtown Denver.

Denver Greek Festival at Assumption Greek Orthodox Cathedral

Join us at this years 54th annual Denver Greek Festival, a family friendly event with plenty to do for the entire family. Enjoy our traditional Greek food, while immersing yourself in sounds of live Greek music and traditional dance entertainment.

Colorado Tiny House Festival at Adams County Fairgrounds 
June 21 – 23 
The Colorado Tiny House Festival returns for its third year on June 21, 2019, and will debut its Camping Corner and Skoolie Build/School Bus Conversion Workshop. Once again, the largest tiny house and alternative living event in the region will feature more than 40 small living structures – each with its own, one-of-a-kind floor plan, décor and remarkable use of space.

Inside the Orchestra’s Tiny Tots Concerts at The Hangar at Stanley Marketplace

Tiny Tots gets children truly inside the orchestra by seating the audience on the floor and surrounding them with a 30+ piece orchestra. Designed for children six and under, this 45-minute program gives young ones the chance to interact with the music and learn about the instruments in the process. Tiny Tots audiences receive an up-close-and-personal performance in a casual, fun environment. The experience is one-of-a-kind!

2019 Community Baby Fair at Aviator Park & Pool 
June 22, 9:30 am – 12:00 pm

The 2019 Community Baby Fair will offer new and expecting parents the opportunity to connect with local health and safety resources, services and tools that can make the parenting process a little easier and give their new bundle of love a healthy, happy beginning. This free family event will feature a variety of local exhibitors representing health and safety organizations, baby-focused businesses, and community groups. Families will also enjoy food trucks, a kids’ DJ, swag bags, and fun activities and entertainment!

Colorado Renaissance Festival at Colorado Renaissance Festival 
June 22 – 23
Flash back to the 16th Century and journey through a medieval city. Enjoy full-armor jousting, tasty turkey legs, music and a marketplace featuring more than 200 artisans.

Grand Opening: Mars Outpost at Colorado Mills
June 22, 10:00 am – 5:00 pm
An all-new, space-themed play area coming to Colorado Mills this summer in collaboration with the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. The “Mars Outpost” play area will be located in Neighborhood 4, near Build-A-Bear Workshop, and will combine entertainment and education with the goal of sparking curiosity for science and space exploration among guests.

Unicorn Festival at Robert F Clement Park 
June 22 – 23
Spend a beautiful weekend in a magical world! Ongoing entertainment and activities all day long – all included with admission tickets. Activities include: Multiple Unicorn Corrals and photo opps, Meet famous Princesses, Sing-alongs and stories, Enter the Castle Maze & Dragon Slide Obstacle Course, and a Little Mermaid Meet-and-Greet – ALL DAY.

Cherry Blossom Festival at Sakura Square 
June 22 – 23 
Fans of taiko drumming, teriyaki chicken, sake and Japanese artwork and wares won’t want to miss this year’s Cherry Blossom Festival – “Sakura Matsuri” in Japanese. The 47th Annual Cherry Blossom Festival celebrates the Japanese heritage and culture through live entertainment, food and drink, a marketplace and informative exhibits and demonstrations.

Discovery Lab: Squid Dissection at Fort Collins Museum of Discovery 
June 22, 11:00 am – 2:30 pm
Discovery Labs are hour-long labs designed for families to explore a topic together. Some people eat them, some people fear them. Squids are some of the most interesting creatures of the sea! Discover how their bodies are different from our own by getting a look inside them. Not for the squeamish, but certainly for the curious!

Citizens for the River Fest at Shoemaker Plaza & Confluence Park 
June 22, 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm
For the first year ever, we are combining the Citizens for the River concert and the South Platte RiverFest for one unbelievable day along the South Platte River!

The Denver Deluxe at RiNo 
June 22, 1:30 pm – 9:30 pm
The Denver Deluxe combines all summer essentials for an incredible afternoon music fest. Jam to live music all afternoon with cold beers tapped, and burgers being flipped. This event will also feature live art from local street and graffiti artists. This is a family-friendly event and kids under 12 are free.

First Harvest Music Festival at DeLaney Community Farm 
June 22, 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm
The First Harvest Music Festival will take place on Saturday, June 22nd at DeLaney Community Farm, a 5-acre farm that supports refugees through an intensive educational program, sustainable agriculture, and community building. The evening will feature live music from Esmé Patterson, Bluebook, Hunter Burnette, and Taylor Maxwell & the Changing Tide. There will be a variety of food trucks, craft beverages, and treats for the whole family.

Denver Superhero Heart Run at Hudson Gardens 
June 23, 8:30 am – 12:30 pm
The Denver Superhero Heart Run is BACK & we are on a mission to “Save the Day for CHD”! Join forces with Heart Heroes & Pediatric Congenital Heart Association for the 5th annual 5k/2k run aimed at raising awareness & funds for Congenital Heart Defects (CHD).

Alice in Wonderland Tea & Potion Party at Lumber Baron Inn & Gardens 
June 23, 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Escape into magical mansions and gardens and sip tea or down a “drink me” potion as you take in all in. Costumes are encouraged for adults and kids alike. Victorian Card Reader Elaine Britten Bryant will be on site offering Victorian card readings ($10 for 10 minutes). Come ready to pose and cheese it up, because the photo ops and decor are designed to impress!

Denver International Airport is brimming with free family-friendly activities all summer. DEN Park on the Plaza will include gardens featuring native Colorado trees and plants, live music, lunchtime fitness classes and family activities. Each Wednesday, join a free, weekly lunchtime workout. Fitness classes include yoga, Pilates, Krav Maga, Zumba and more! Each Friday, enjoy a variety of free, fun, cultural and family-friendly activities and performance and from June 14-July 14 you’ll find free 18-hole mini golf course! Summer of Play
June 21 – August 2
On Friday, June 21, the Art Students League of Denver will launch “Summer of Play,” an invitational exhibition featuring a commissioned piece by the Ladies Fancywork Society, displayed alongside artworks by ASLD’s KidART Camp and Teen Studio instructors. The exhibition, which will run through August 2, is focused on playfulness and interactivity.

Colorado Shakespeare Festival: Twelfth Night at Mary Rippon Outdoor Theatre
June 7 – August 11, 2019
Ring in the summer season with an uproarious comedy about thorny love triangles, mistaken identities … and a pair of twins lost at sea. Butterflies at Chatfield Farms
May 25 – September 2
$4, $2 Gardens or Butterfly Pavilion member, free for children 2 and under
This seasonal habitat is home to hundreds of native butterflies such as swallowtails, monarchs, mourning cloaks and painted ladies. The plants in this house are used as a nectar source for butterfly food and designed to create a whimsical atmosphere for visitors of all ages to enjoy. Learn what types of plants you can add to your garden to attract butterflies and other pollinators. Presented with Butterfly Pavilion.

Serious Play: Design in Midcentury America at the Denver Art Museum
May 5 –August 25
Serious Play: Design in Midcentury America presents the concept of playfulness in postwar American design as a catalyst for creativity and innovation. This exhibition explores how employing playfulness allowed designers to bring fresh ideas to the American home, children’s toys and play spaces, and corporate identities.  The cost is included in general admission which is free for kids 18 and under every day.

Our Senses: Creating Your Reality at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science
April 12 – August 4
When it comes to our senses, hasn’t the number five had enough time in the spotlight? Now other sensory heroes get some overdue attention in Our Senses: Creating Your Reality, a new exhibition at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science for the whole family where you play with color, patterns, sounds, scents, and textures to discover there’s so much more to human senses than just the famous five. www.dmns.org

Denver Art Museum 
Visit the Denver Art Museum this summer where kids receive FREE general admission every day! There is plenty to do during #SummerofPlay2019 at the DAM including family-friendly artmaking in the galleries and in the Paint Studio (opening June 1). Step into the shining world of the new First Light Family Space (opening June 1) and try hands-on activities inspired by the exhibition The Light Show. Don’t miss this summer’s main exhibition, Serious Play: Design in Midcentury America, opening May 5, where children are invited to play in the Free Play Zone at the end of the exhibition where they can try on bold masks and bring them to life in a colorful theater, climb on a wavy playscape by sculptor Isamu Noguchi and creatively combine the pieces of the Tyng Toy.

One of the foremost photographers to photograph the great American West, William Henry Jackson’s images had an immense influence on the public’s perception of the American West. A portion of those images were captured here in Colorado as Jackson traveled throughout the west by rail. This exhibit not only showcases the Museum’s collection of Jackson photographs but provides visitors with the opportunity to visit the rail car he traveled and lived in – the Denver & Rio Grande Western business car – the Rico.

Marine Biologist for a Day at the Downtown Aquarium
