Deals: Father’s Day fun, Water World & more

My dad’s birthday is usually very close to Father’s Day, if not the same day. Every year I am looking for something fun for us to do that is different from the previous year. Maybe it is the belly-flop contest at Water World, or maybe we go to the Rockies game. But this year – we will go to the 2nd Annual BBQ Festival at Broncos Stadium. Even better – the event is FREE (VIP tickets cost). Pitmasters from Denver and awesome bands? I’m in! And hopefully this will be the best Father’s Day/Birthday yet.

When the Rockies score 7 or more runs in a game (win or lose) you can swing by Taco Bell the next day between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to get four tacos for $2. (We end up eating at Taco Bell about once a week so far). They are also having a free Doritos Locos Taco on June 18 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. (no purchase necessary).
Water World. Nothing says summer to me more than Water World (I used to live right by there and all my friends were lifeguards there as a summer job). One of the world’s largest water parks often also comes with a large price tag (especially when you are bringing lots of kids). But luckily there are a few ways to get admission less expensively. Kids under 40” are free every day; Consider a splash pass (season pass); King Soopers has a family 4-pack including admission, pizza and drinks; Bring a marked Mountain Dew can for $10 off); or pick up a coupon at Subway.
