Colorado Earth Day: Salsa for Your Planet at the Alliance for Sustainable Colorado

Natural Easter Egg Dying at The Craftsman & Apprentice

In our third annual family-friendly all ages workshop, we’ll learn all about how to create natural dyes and resists to make beautiful and non-toxic dyed eggs. We’ll provide each person a half dozen boiled eggs and use beets, cabbage, and onion skin to create beautiful pastel eggs. I’ll even share my tips and tricks for creating dyes, floral and beeswax resists. Register by the dozen and roll up your sleeves, we’re going to have so much fun.

One of the foremost photographers to photograph the great American West, William Henry Jackson’s images had an immense influence on the public’s perception of the American West. A portion of those images were captured here in Colorado as Jackson traveled throughout the west by rail. This exhibit not only showcases the Museum’s collection of Jackson photographs but provides visitors with the opportunity to visit the rail car he traveled and lived in – the Denver & Rio Grande Western business car – the Rico.
