There are a million reasons I love living in Colorado. But, one of my favorites is how generous the people here are. Last week, there was Giving Tuesday. This week – Colorado Gives Day is something extra special (last year there was a $1 million incentive given to the non-profits). Coloradans come together with the common goal to strengthen the community by helping to power nonprofits. Community First Foundation and FirstBank partner to make this day rewarding for givers, nonprofits and the community as a whole. Colorado Gives Day has grown to be the state’s largest one-day online giving event, raising more than $182 million since it began in 2010.
If you’re looking for free holiday events, our Event Calendar is brimming with ideas.

GetOutPass. There is a new “fun pass” in Colorado that almost feels too good to be true. It’s called The GetOutPass and with this one pass you can go to over 30 venues at least once, and sometimes multiple times per year! Best of all, they have many of the biggest and best attractions in the state participating, including Elitch Gardens, Water World, ski resorts, climbing centers, golfing, bowling, jump houses, and so much more! The GetOutPass is a 12-month membership that can be paid for in two ways, making it affordable for everyone. You can pay the full yearly price up front for $119.40 or you can $12.95 per month per person. This is great because the pass is affordable for everyone! If you have the money now you can get savings but if money is tight, the monthly option makes the pass affordable for all families. If you use code FUN30 at checkout you’ll get 30% off the yearly price, making the pass just $83.58 per person. When you think about it, the price of Elitch Gardens and WaterWorld is already over $80 plus taxes per person, but with the GetOutPass, you can go to both of those places as well as dozens of others for the same price.
