Deals: Consignment Sales, National Noodle Day, Coffee & More!

October! I’ve heard it said that fall is as all about colors. I think they mean the turning leaves – but to me it’s usually sports. Yay to my Colorado Buffaloes with a perfect record so far this year–I have been proudly wearing my gold and black. Baseball is still happening – Go Rockies. I’ll wear my purple. The Broncos are always fun to watch. I’ll wear my orange. And while I sport my team’s colors, this month is also Pink for breast cancer awareness. The Outlets at Castle Rock are having a month-long awareness, action and fundraising campaign. On Saturday, October 13 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. rather than professional models, the Fashion Show will feature breast cancer survivors, thrivers and supporters.

Consignment sales. Just a few more consignment sales left this season. Mile High Mamas does a round-up detailing Colorado’s popular children’s consignment sales. Thousands of shoppers find bargains on kids’ clothing for newborn-preteen, toys, strollers, furniture, baby equipment, books, shoes, maternity items and more…all at 50-90% below retail. This week’s featured sales:

 National Noodle Day. On a cold fall day, I love a good bowl of macaroni and cheese. Noodles & Company is celebrating National Noodle Day on Saturday, October 6 with free mac & cheese. Caribou Coffee. While National Coffee day was last weekend. Caribou Coffee is offering their Fall Tumbler (it’s really cute) for $39.99. When you buy the tumbler you get free coffee all October long or get a cold press or crafted press drink for just $2.

 P.F. Changs. Get a free entrée with purchase of one when you dine in through October 10. You will need to print or show this coupon though.

 Fifth Grade Passport. Colorado Ski Country is once again offering the Free 5^th Grade Passport (and nominal fee 6^th Grade). The Fifth Grade Passport allows your fifth grader to ski (or snowboard) three times at each of the participating resorts for FREE! Resorts include:  Arapahoe Basin, Aspen, Copper Mountain, Cooper, Echo Mountain, Eldora, Granby Ranch, Loveland, Monarch, Powderhorn, Purgatory, Silverton, Snowmass, Steamboat, Sunlight, Telluride, Winter Park and Wolf Creek.

 Epic Mountain Gear Season Kickoff. With cooler weather (and maybe snow in the forecast next week), Epic Mountain Gear is getting ready for an awesome ski season. The party will be held on Saturday, Oct 6 and Sunday, Oct. 7 at all Epic Mountain Gear locations. Get snacks and refreshments. Have fun with face painting, high five Ripperoo (Keystone’s ski dog character), try the kid-sized Burton Ringlet Park, and pet an Avalanche Dog.
