Deals: Bike to Work Day, Play Date at Public Works and More!

Have I mentioned that I love food? This is my foodie week. Not only will I get to try Chuy’s newest location in DTC but I am also going to try the new menu at Alamo Draft House (yeah, the movie place). I am also excited to try the offerings of Dinnerly. Dinnerly is the most affordable meal delivery (make at home) kit on the market. Za’atar Chicken, Steakhouse Burger and Chinese BBQ Chicken are on my menu.   

Play Date at Public WorksArapahoe County has a fun way to celebrate Public Works and Development. On Friday, June 29 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. the whole family is invited for the fun at 6954 S. Lima Street where you can touch the trucks, learn about crosswalk safety, fill potholes and plan a city and even microchip your stuffed animal!

 Bike to Work Day. As if the benefits of being healthy (working out), the better of the environment and comradery with other bikers isn’t enough, there are other great deals along with Bike to Work Day (June 27). When you register you can win awesome prizes! Chipotle is offering a Buy One Get One Free promotion between 10:45 a.m. and 8 p.m. – just show your helmet at the register. There will be over 250 stations to stop on your way to work – including food, bike tune ups, and happy hours.

 The Pedal for Pancakes breakfast station in Skyline Park on June 27th, presented by the Downtown Denver Partnership, features a free hot breakfast of pancakes, sausage, fruit and coffee, bike tune-ups, a donut wall, music and other fitness and wellness programs. With 8.3 percent of Downtown Denver commuters choosing to commute by bike each day, Skyline Park is historically one of the largest Bike to Work Day stations in the metro area, attracting an average of more than 600 people. 

Buy a Coke, Share a Coke Happy Hour. Every Wednesday – Friday4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Buy one Coca-Cola 20 oz drink get one free to share at Walgreens. Yes, I’ll meet you with a free coke on the corner of happy and healthy. 

 Colorado Renaissance Festival. The age old (see what I did there?) festival celebrating the fun, frivolity and food (Hello Turkey Legs!) of the Renaissance is now open in Larkspur. Get your Buy One Adult Get One Child (or you can use it for $3 off an adult ticket) coupon at participating Subway stores. 

 High Point Creamery. Celebrate the first day of summer on June 21 with all of High Point Creamery scoops (including ice cream flights!).  AMF Bowling. Let the Summer Games Begin. Get your Summer Games Season pass now and bowl at AMF lanes every day for one low price!
