My baby is sick. Yes, she’s sixteen years old. Honestly, I know that with a terrible cold there is little you can do as a mom to cure it; I just need to let her sleep and have some soup. But I can’t help but wish even as a sixteen year old that I could help her. As we celebrated Mother’s Day this last weekend – I realized that indeed a mother’s job is really never done. You worry and wish you can help no matter if you are a mother of a young child or an adult child. Here’s to all the moms. I hope you were pampered and treated well this last weekend you deserve it!

Dick’s Sporting Goods Grand Opening. Dicks’ Sporting Goods celebrates the Grand Opening of it’s newest location at Southlands Town Center in Aurora on Saturday, May 19 and Sunday May 20. Civic Center Eats. Delicious food, fresh air, gorgeous views, live music and a great cause…Summer has [almost] officially arrived when the 13th annual Civic Center EATS takes place in Civic Center Park from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from May 1 through October 4, 2018(excluding May 31July 3 & 4; August 8, 29, & 30; September 4).

Happy City: Art for the People. The launch event is free and open to the public at the Union Station’s Plaza and Great hall on Friday, May 18 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Happy City brings together more than 10 artists’ perspectives that address ideas of happiness and community wellness in an effort to create a more connected society. If you are looking for something fun to do join the Five Points Theatre Club every second Saturday of the month at the Mercury Café in Denver from 12:30 to 2 p.m. (Acting out JR takes place right before at 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

Free Coding Classes. Do you have an aspiring programming in your family? CoderDojo is a community-driven global network of FREE and inclusive technology clubs and classes for kids that meets weekly on Saturdays from 1 to 3 p.m. at  2501 Chase Street, Edgewater (except on major holidays) through May 26.
