Inside the Orchestra’s Tiny Tots Performances at the Boulder Jewish Community Center 
Feb 8, 9:30 am – 11:30 am
Tiny Tots gets children truly inside the orchestra by seating the audience on the floor and surrounding them with a 30+ piece orchestra. Designed for children six and under, this 45-minute program gives young ones the chance to interact with the music and learn about the instruments in the process. Tiny Tots audiences receive an up-close-and-personal performance in a casual, fun environment. The experience is one-of-a-kind!

Four Mile Free Days at Four Mile Historic Park 
Feb 9, 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Travel back to 1859… for free! Enjoy historic demonstrations, a tour of the Four Mile House Museum—a Denver landmark!—and meeting our many farm animals. Our Hay Bales & Tall Tales story and activity time will also be offered from 12-1 pm.

Le Petit Prince 
Feb 9 – 11 
Danse Etoile presents the world premiere of Le Petit Prince, a magical story ballet based on the beloved story by Antoine de Saint-Exupery. Music includes classical and contemporary styles with scores by Les Choristes and original compositions for the ballet by Colorado composer Bruce Klepper. Sophisticated choreography, imaginative costumes, and evocative projection art bring the poetic world Le Petit Prince to life for all ages.

Loveland Fire & Ice Festival

The Nation’s Sweetheart City comes alive for Valentine’s Day with the Loveland Fire & Ice Festival, Feb. 9-11. Two days and three full nights of fun featuring an explosive fireworks show with music and lights, ice sculpting, live entertainment, fire performances, the new Fire Sculpture People’s Choice competition, Brewing and Distilling Arts and more.

Early Literacy Event at Aspen Academy 
Feb 10 
Drop in and play, sing, read, write and talk at activity stations throughout the library. Families with young children (birth to age 7) enjoy interactive early literacy activities and take home crafts and great prizes as well as new ideas for family fun. Each station included special activities for babies.

Free Day at the Longmont Museum 
Feb 10, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
The second Saturday of each month is a Free Day.The Longmont Museum, housed in a distinctive contemporary building, features changing exhibits in history, art, and science, as well as the award-winning Front Range Rising, a long-term exhibit on the history and culture of this region. The Museum recently opened an expansion, featuring the 250-seat Stewart Auditorium and Cone-Shortall stage, the Swan Atrium, and the Kaiser Permanente Education Center.

Big Horn Sheep Day at the Garden of the Gods Visitor & Nature Center

Join us for the 13th Annual Bighorn Sheep Day. Look for bighorns in their natural habitat through our high-power telescopes. Bighorn presentations and door prizes. Free cookies and cider. Meet and Make with Children’s Author at the Denver Public Library

During this free day-long celebration, award-winning children’s authors will share their bookmaking experiences and lead art and writing activities for kids. Books will be on hand to buy and have signed by the authors courtesy of Tattered Cover Book Store.

Be the Astronaut at Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum
October 1, 2017 – March 31, 2018; Monday – Saturday: 10 am – 5 pm Sunday: 12 pm – 5 pm
Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum (Wings) enthusiastically announces the arrival of Be The Astronaut, an interactive pod-based exhibit that thrusts visitors into a world of space discovery.  Broken down into three interactive parts, Be The Astronaut first places “explorers” at a NAV (Navigation) Station to explore basic concepts of the universe. Second, guests move to a SCI (Science) Station that reinvents the way users think about the science and technology needed to thrive in outer space. Finally, participants move to the FLY Station. The FLY Station puts guests in control of a variety of spacecraft, including a lander, a rover and an interplanetary spaceship, on a wide variety of extraterrestrial missions. http://wingsmuseum.org/

Eyes On at Denver Art Museum

Xiaoze Xie has a lifelong passion for books. In his worldview, books are conveyers of prestige and signifiers of collective cultural knowledge: repositories of historical meaning, cultural conflict, and political strife. Past the Tangled Present at the Denver Art Museum

This interactive and immersive installation by Denver artist Jaime Molina was born of imagination and the joy of discovery. Step into a different world where the paintings on the wall flow into 3-D objects that Molina created for the space. Creatures of Light at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science (upcoming)
