Colorado & prAna & the End of Summer
posted by: Lori Holden
We bade farewell to the unofficial end of summer with the recent Labor Day weekend. I packed a small suitcase to head up to the YMCA Rocky Mountains in Estes Park for a surprise milestone birthday party for my dad.

(I packed a lot of prAna clothing because prAna covers a lot of bases activity-wise and season-wise and is ever-stylish)
My mom secretly planned this gathering for months, and 14 mouths (!) had to stay shut about it in order to keep my dad none-the-wiser. We all had to act as if a Big Thing wasn’t consuming us.
We were able to keep the secret, though. The surprise for Dad was highly satisfying; there’s nothing he likes better than to have his family gather around him.
Coincidentally, during our planning time, prAna asked me #WhereDoYouprAna, and I was able to answer:
In Estes Park. With my whole family.
Sister Time
One of the many things my sisters and I have in common is that we all enjoy practicing yoga. Sheri and I each sported our prAna at the iconic YMCA sculpture.

Over the weekend we walked and we hiked. We caught up with each other as we watched the kids swim and play soccer and basketball. We ate cake. We played Cards Against Humanity once the younger ears went to sleep. We hooted and howled and simply enjoyed being together.
In the evening when things cooled down, I donned more prAna.

( Tilly Top and the London Jean, which I love because it comes in Tall, Regular, and Short.)
We are so lucky to live in Colorado and experience year-round the beauty or our state and all it has to offer.
Conscious Consumer
Being in nature with three generations of my family makes me want to be a good caretaker of nature. See those tags above that say “sustainable”? It brings me peace of mind to know that the prAna clothing I choose is gentle on the earth.
