My son will be a senior in high school this year. I get that this is a once in a lifetime moment and I am both excited and wistful for him already. Being on the top of the school food chain, playing that last season of football, going to the last dance. I am however, somewhat surprised at how many of my own emotions are wrapped up into it. I want to capture this moment with his senior pictures. However, I have not recently won the lottery nor do I have plans to knock over a bank to try to pay for them. Do parents still do this rite? Do kids still hand out senior pictures or are they things that eventually end up collecting dust at the bottom of a well-intentioned aunt’s drawer? Do we take the EXPENSIVE pictures anyway?
