There are plenty of events in the Denver area that include the Colorado Renaissance Festival, Denver Berkeley Art and Music Festival, free days, Rockin’ Block Party and more. See our event calendar for the full listings. 

Parker Days Festival 
June 8 – Jun 11
Parker Days Festival offers visitors 3 1/2 days of fun with carnival rides, 3 stages of entertainment, a food truck alley, family-friendly parade and a car show.

GoPro Mountain Games 
June 8-11
The GoPro Mountain Games are the largest celebration of adventure sports, music, and the mountain lifestyle returning to Vail, CO. Professional and amateur outdoor adventure athletes from the Vail Valley and around the world will converge upon the mountains and rivers of Vail to compete in nine sports and 25 disciplines including: biking, running, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, slackline, dockdogs, climbing, rafting, and yoga.

The Firebird and Petrushka at the Dairy Center for the Arts 
June 9 – 10 
Danse Etoile Ballet presents two Stravinsky classic ballets, The Firebird and Petrushka. Experience these enchanting Russian fairytales and the captivating characters of their whimsical world in a way you’ve never seen before. Families and ballet aficionados alike won’t want to miss these artistic interpretations where Russia’s lore comes to life. 

Free Day at Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum 
June 9, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
The mission of the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum is to collect, preserve, exhibit, and educate the public about quilts; honor quiltmaking traditions; and embrace the evolution of the art and craft of quilting.

Four Mile Free Day at Four Mile Historic Park
June 9, 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Take a tour of the Four Mile House Museum, check out historic demonstrations, explore our 12-acre grounds, sample a treat from our summer kitchen, and greet our farm animals. We’ll also be offering our Hay Bales & Tall Tales story and activity time from 12:00-1:00 pm. Admission is free thanks to the support provided by your Scientific & Cultural Facilities District.

Family Fun at Jodi’s Race for Awareness at Denver City Park (Pavilions area)
June 10 
Now in its 8th year, Jodi’s Race is the country’s largest run/walk for ovarian cancer. Kids love this family-friendly event featuring a 5K and 1-mile run/walk; a Kids Fun Zone with face painting, bubbles and games; a Furry Friends Zone; an interactive Expo and music. Proceeds benefit the Colorado Ovarian Cancer Alliance.

Be My Neighbor Day at Children’s Museum of Denver at Marsico Campus

Every day is a beautiful day when we help neighbors and others in our community! Join Daniel Tiger for a morning of family-friendly community service, trolley rides and Vroom activities in Joy Park. This event is free, but space is limited and reservations are required.

Colorado Renaissance Festival 
June 10-11, 10:00 am – 6:30 pm
Flashback to the 16th Century and journey through a medieval city. Enjoy full-armor jousting, tasty turkey legs, music and a marketplace featuring more than 200 artisans. Saturdays & Sundays only, open Rain or Shine.

Denver Berkeley Park Art and Music Festival 
June 10  – 11 
The 2nd Annual Denver Berkeley Park Art & Music Festival is back with another great collection of juried national and local fine artists. Art booths feature eclectic and diverse art including jewelry, ceramics, photography, painting, mixed media and more.

Fun Summer Safe Summer 
June 10,  1:30 pm – 4:00 pm
For more outdoor family fun, please be sure to visit National Get Outdoors Day from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., June 10, at Sloan’s Lake Park in Denver! We’ll be hosting fishing classes, paddling activities, live music, rock climbing, bike riding, and much more. Rocky Mountain PBS’ Nature Cat will be there to help us celebrate as well.

Rockin’ Block Party 
June 10, 5:00 – 11:00 pm
This Rockin’ Block Party is a fun evening of 1980s music and dancing. Live music will be by HEY LADY at 7:00 pm with an outdoor showing of the movie LABYRINTH starring David Bowie at dusk.

Creatura Psychedelica at the Museum of Outdoor Arts 
June 10, 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm
MOA presents “Creatura Psychedelica,” a monumental pneumatic sculpture installation by Bill Kennedy, aka “Inflatabill” from San Francisco. Bill is best known for the inflatable light sculptures and illuminated décor he exhibits at music and art festivals around the nation. 

 

The Colorado Parent Everything Baby Expo 
June 11, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
The Colorado Parent Everything Baby Expo will offer a fun-filled exploration of the world of baby and family-oriented goods and services catering to the baby community. The Colorado Parent Everything Baby Expo caters to a wonderful combination of expecting parents and parents of newborns, infants, and toddlers. We anticipate 500+ attendees with up to 40 vendors and day-long education opportunities representing the baby community.

Kids Film Series: Good Dinosaur
June 13, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
Cool off this summer in the air-conditioned Stewart Auditorium with a bag of popcorn in a place where your don’t have to worry if your kiddo cries in the middle of the movie. Your ticket gets you $1 off the hands-on dinosaur exhibition too.

Women’s beginner trail running course 
June 13 , 6 p.m
Check out the women’s beginner trail running course starting soon with Life’s 2 Short Fitness. This 6-week course entails sessions that meet at different trails across the front range to work on skills and fitness (like how to conquer technical terrain and steep hills) and clinics with expert guest speakers like park rangers to talk about what to do if you see a rattlesnake or mountain lion (gulp) on the trail.

Cirque du Soleil’s LUZIA at the Pepsi Center 
June 1 – Jul 9 
Delightfully-imaginative and visually-stunning, Cirque du Soleil’s production LUZIA is a waking dream of Mexico. Families are invited to a redesigned white-and-gold Big Top in Pepsi Center’s Parking Lot (Prius West Lot)  to escape to an imaginary Mexico – a sumptuous world suspended somewhere between dreams and reality.

Inspire Arts Week in Lakewood in Lakewood, CO 
June 1 – 11 
The 11-day event offers a broad array of free and discounted events with twenty-plus local organizations producing more than 30 events.

City Summer Fest in Colorado Springs 
June 2 – 18 
City Summer Fest is 17 days of family fun celebrating the beginning of summer and the southern Colorado community at the Colorado Springs Event Center. June 2nd through June 18th will be filled with music, food and fun with one of the best carnivals in the United States. Crabtree amusements will fill the parking lot in front of Colorado Springs Event Center with everything from kiddie rides to the newest extreme thrill rides. During the 17 days, City Summer Fest will feature multiple free live concerts with national recording artists and local bands.
